I feel like if town recognizes the game is slightly more difficult in their direction they're more willing to work hard to achieve an end goal.
Scum having a slightly more difficult game just makes the game that much more unbearable because it's already really hard to play scum, and you don't really have to convince your buddy to work with you, they know you're their teammate

I have never seen a setup more scumsided than MU’s Sulkimas 2. Town would have basically had to be psychic to win that game but the mods still blamed town, against total common sense and abundant evidence backing that up.

I feel bad for you in that case. Having played as scum w/o day chat was brutal - incidentally, the very same game, where Saudade was my buddy.

Eh, I didn't think it was all that bad. It was kinda cool having to try and guess what your buddy was doing and thinking. Sometimes I kinda miss it

I can say for a fact that the trend started between late 2013 to early 2014.
