Unless this is a "perceived" vs "is" semantics thing in which case
(2) that's blatantly wrong, depends on the player and if lurking is town or scum inddicative for them
(3) this again depends on whether the person lurks as scum much more than they do as town
1. Correct. There is no one thing that points to them being scum (outside of an obvious scum slip or something). Even a series of scummy behavior doesn’t ensure certainty. Look how many townies are mislynched. There is no certainty in mafia. Even when you’re sure, you’re really not.
2. Lurking is scummy is not a “depend on the player” scenario. If you lurk you aren’t helping your team. As both alignments it’s scummy.
3. It doesn’t depend on meta. If a town player habitually lurks. He’s still scummy for lurking. Mafia is a team game and if a team member isn’t around to play, it’s scummy.
Now you can disagree with me all you want to, but I know based on my experience, a game where all town players are active and scum hunting, win percentages are higher. Scum have a harder time blending in. Scum can’t scum hunt.
The problem with the game is nobody is scum hunting. The three of us arguing over stupid things. Mainly I’m defending myself from somebody who lied and somebody I pissed off and for some reason feels it’s better to side with the liar.
