I had a delayed realization that FMPOV, preflip associatives are identical to postflip associatives. Because like, if I'm lynched today, and people deadsheep an Iconeum lynch tomorrow, I "know" he flips scum because if he doesn't nothing else matters, therefore it makes sense to think about my stance on a partner and state it some time before I'm hammered today (in this game). In almost any other game I would just bitch at people about preflip associatives being a waste of time and a cell culture for confirmation biases. I am usually lynched day 1 or not at all in most of my games, last time I was lynched in a middle day it was LyLo -2 iirc

i dislike using percentages i think players are not as accurate at rating their own confidence/accuracy levels as they are at making comparisons "A is scummier than B"

I feel really really strongly about Icon though

You misremember. I may have quoted his own descriptions of his certainty my slot is scum. Also in twilight I asked him for the %age sure he was that I'm scum because I know that's the language he speaks, even if I don't speak it. I can't find a percentage in my iso.

If it was I'm sure it was a low one, I'll sometimes toss out something like "55%" to convey an idea but I don't like trying to quantify an 80% hardread vs. a 90% hardead because one is twice the level of the other but I don't think townies can know their own reads that well

Iconeum's theory has some appeal to me, even though I have to dock it X amount of points in the sense that individual slot scumhunting is far easier than getting pairs.

This post is saying that individual scumhunting is superior to pair scumhunting.
So your theory automatically loses X points for that reason.
