I think it's very common, unfortunately, for townies to get very complacent in situations like this.

I agree, but I don't think the people who are acting complacent now should be.

Guys, the N1 kill had Gyro Zeppeli as their #1 townread. Scum don't nightkill a guy who is sitting there saying that one of them is town, and Arkias was transparently not a PR either.

Yeah uh except the thing is I don't think it's bbmolla/Anacondra

If Karnage is town (which I doubt) maybe it's actually Billy

Quick Karnage case.

"Hey scum!Billy, I'm glad you are seeing things the way I am! please tell me how your fake reads are changing atm and how your fake read on karnage will change when your partner flips red. I ask this fully aware that as scum, you will likely try to blend in." - bepwei
This is what scum discrediting a townie looks like; hard to explain it beyond that.
In post 324, Karnage wrote:Gilded is caught scum. I will hammer tonight, approx 7 hours from now.
You don't say someone is caught scum and you'll hammer in 7 hours. That's a tonal mismatch; if he thought it was caught scum he'd hammer. Common mistake by scum.

I could make a case for anyone being scum right now. I think I’ve settled on billy, molla as Town and gyro as the best lynch for today but confidence levels are low.
is gyro the best lynch just to keep him out of lylo?
Not going to copy all of them but the way that Karnage lets himself be persuaded to mislynching Jamelia just feels super scummy. Hard to express.
In post 486, Karnage wrote:RC, you know all those dead threads where you've been wrong about who was scum and what not? yeah, you're doing it again
Who TF discredits me because of dead threads, like what?
In post 492, Karnage wrote:
In post 491, RadiantCowbells wrote:3 things to say in response to that

1) when I have a dead thread read I usually have only read the thread once and at one time which doesn't give me a high quality read usually
2) you've been paranoiaing my slot all day before I subbed in. Why are you talking to me like I'm outed town
3) lol do you think that this is going to help you
you are absolutely right about #2. I think your slot is town and I want to believe it because it more or less solves for the game for me BUT i worry that i'm extrapolating too far beyond the available data and as a result I'm dead wrong
The whole "extrapolating too far beyond the available data" feels very scummy, again hard to explain but like just doesn't feel like town response.
In post 523, Karnage wrote:
In post 522, Billy Pilgrim wrote:Come on man, why did you sign up to play the game if you're not gonna try? Look, I think theres a better than average chance that Gyro is scum now. If both scum are lurking it explains why there isnt any scummy play that's presenting itself. Also, he did hop yesterday's wagon fairly easily.

I want that lynch and it's not just policy. Is a good bit policy? Yes, but come on that slot is infuriating. He literally responded to his fourth prod with the word "post."
yeah, I think the risk is well worth the possible reward at this point

VOTE: gyro
Again the culmination of it to "the risk is well worth the possible reward at this point" is just a wtf answer.

I need to sleep. I have no intentions of changing votes and I implore anyone who townreads me to trust my Jamelia townread.

Tons of people have been expressing that Karnage just doesn't feel right all game but the wagon has never actually happened and that in and of itself is a very good scumtell.

Like... who is Gyro Zeppeli's scumread supposed to be? The only answer that ever made sense was Karnage with his reluctance to get on the wagon.
In post 146, Gyro Zeppeli wrote:Let's try a hand at 'reading' Micc seems super aggressive, espeiclaly towards me, could be an aggressive pro townie or a scum trying to push me out the game and then using me as a policy lynch to cover up.
Karnage seems helpful and reasonable altho I cba to check back at his past messages.
Arklas I would say is my strongest town read because they type too much for someone who would be scummy, and their arguments and views are pretty fair.
Billy im neutral on as he could be a scum, just saying stuff like 'dont follow the policy lynch' and his posts haven't had much beef just repeating what people said and answering questions and fluff.

is this what I should be doing d1? seems pretty useless
Fundamental law of scum readslists in the early game is they put their partners on them and for that reason even though Anacondra could maaaybe have worked I really don't think that's a thing.
And if you're scared that I'm scum with him, please just trust me for now and bring it up tomorrow because I think we are going to flip scum in Karnage.

You're not even presenting an argument for why an, I think, objectively towny entrance deserves to continue to be tunneled based on a predecessor who factually was more policy than scum.

Not really a good example to set, not caring about whether you're lynching town or scum, but I guess it's a good thing to hide behind as scum.

I'm not in the business of lynching town slots,
compromised
or not.

This is what I mean by a town that doesn't seem to care. I cannot tell if people are being complacent because they don't care if they win/lose or complacent because they know it benefits their own game for the current gamestate to stay this way.

Oh well.

TBH, you're in my pool of scumleans anyways since you are one of the main people still on this complacent decision even after having a pretty active beginning to the day. I don't really need your vote.

But you're more than welcome to change your mind once you wake up tomorrow with a better attitude and understanding of how the game dynamic got flipped into a complacent nightmare.
