In post 7389, Miss Lane wrote:Menalque very conveniently has found every player that brings up serious suspicion against him scummy. That includes myself, FL, davesaz, among others. In addition, his chainsaw/white knight of Cephrir was strange and I'd really like one of those three flipped, I'm very much not opposed to it being him.

I read Menalque as highly manipulative. I don't care how towny he feels himself to be, or how towny others feel him to be. He's too pushy at a point in the game that we don't know alignments yet. That's being manipulative, regardless of alignment, and I don't like it. Let things flow.
+1

Elements is also a thinking being, plenty capable of making his own decision as far as the kill is concerned. Unless he specifically asks for your input, you're simply giving away more information than you have to or probably should from an optimal game standpoint, and it implies general disrespect for Elements' judgement by implying that he can't think for himself from a human being standpoint.
Why are you assuming that elements is actually a town vig rather than another killing role claiming town vig?
Based on what I know of elements, I really don't think that he thinks through his claims all that much - no offense to him (I quite enjoyed talking/playing with him, actually) - he's not particularly creative with his mafia claims, and in addition he's not a very good liar, at least not in my opinion. I have played scum before multiple times and rarely do I see a lot of coaching - when I have tried to coach players myself, the plays that they are asked to make feel very very awkward and forced - see the day 3 IC claim in Anuket Topaz. This doesn't feel like that. So personally I think it's a bit of a stretch to think that the kill he claimed would be the factional one, I very much expect that he has his own personal kill, regardless of his alignment.

That said - Menalque is remarkably quick to set elements up as lying here, and it's rather disturbing that - based on his play so far - he seems to throw enough shade around that it wouldn't surprise me if he turned on any player at any point. It seems very much to me that Menalque doesn't particularly care who does and does not get lynched, does anyone particularly disagree with this statement?

My vote is currently on Titus, but I will support Titus, TSE, Menalque, Flavor Leaf, or Cephrir today.

I’d prefer miss lynch out of everyone.
As their entire ISO is just shading others.
You were just trying to push someone that I was hard defending, how is your memory this terrible?

That’s not a case un my book that’s just you saying things and also it’s already dealt with so I’ll leave it

I just skimmed your ISO and yeah, fair enough, I was extrapolating from similar reads at points that you would be TRing me but you weren’t as it turned out

Still think you’re probably town from a few of the posts in your ISO so I’m not gonna bothering fighting you here

I think a couple of your longer posts were very good but I think your push on me is vaguely hypocritical and that you should re-evaluate

I'm not writing a full-blown case with 37 players left in the game. When it comes a bit closer to the line I'll look at it a bit deeper, but what I wrote for you is about as good as I think you're gonna get for now.

To be fair, I was very much sitting on the fence about you earlier - I went back and forth several times, so I can understand where you would get that impression from.

Specifically claiming I’m scummy for not having a preference on who gets lynched when, even looking past the fact that this is demonstrably untrue, you’ve had multiple posts where you’ve said “I don’t really care who we lynch in X, Y, Z”

So like hypocrisy =/= scum but I do think you should reconsider that even if you think I haven’t been caring about who gets lynched (again, demonstrably false) you should still be not thinking this is scum indicative for me when you have the same behaviour

I mean I’ve obvtowned in every large I’ve been in so if you’re town then I think you’ll probably be able to successfully reevaluate as time goes on and playerlist decreases in size

I’d like to stay around for another couple of days but I probably shouldn’t endgame because if scum don’t kill me cult are prob gonna recruit me— slightly less likely if orcus isn’t groupscum, but if we get a scumflip and orcus is groupscum then I’m conftown I think

I still think it's odd that Mena is calling hard claimed parties town. But I've had this discussion b4 and I guess the new train of thought is that 3p that can with WITH town aren't scum but w/e.

Speaking of 3rd party...there's alot of claimed ones and speculated ones.

We have 3 hard claimed though I kinda think FL might be lying. And both TSE and FB are suspected to be. And all this b4 we know alot about the setup or the mafia team.

You guys need to kill FB not just b/c I'm salty I may have gotten killed but b/c he's scum with a killing role. But he'll just laugh it off and you guys won't lynch him b/c he guys like his avatar or some shit. Also, he's scum and MS towns don't lynch scum-they lynch w/e low impact, uncharismatic jobber they can get.
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Alright. I see where you're coming from.

I completely forgot you were pushing these weird sideways wagons because you didn't like the main three, and that explains a lot.

For the record, I'm also not ok with lynching just anyone either.

I am.

I'm not pushing Menalque really right now, I'm just putting it out there that if people disagree with my main push (Titus) then I'm solid on him and a couple others as well. And at this point I feel at least slightly less solid on him anyways.

beeboy - Everyone thought this game was made to troll pie but it was really made to troll pisskop.
Almost50 pisskop: Overall, that's a townie slot. Don't ask for specifics because with PK everything can be interpreted either way. It's probably WHEN he says/does things that matter, so it's more of a matter of conception rather than solid reasoning.
