The cult leader appears to be a snake. N3 flavor heavily implies this fact. N1 flavor also seems to imply that the snake cult leader watched Chemist save the cult leader’s recruit (Menalque).
This raises doubt surrounding the lie detector result.- gobbledygook

I also actively was explaining people what my role was last night.
Don’t look at things at a surface level.
You’re so out of touch with game state you have no idea.
I actually think you’re town.
High post count doesn’t equal content. Most of yours is useless because you have no idea what’s going on. Are you role playing your flavor?

I take this back. The killer night 1 is definitely an Aasimir woman. I have bolded the relevant portions of the N1 flavor. In post 9824, gobbledygook wrote:No, I think the flavor casts doubt on Wooper being the killer.
Xanesha's wiki page does not make any mention that Xanesha has Aasimir heritage. Since Titus's role character was recruited to the Runelord cause by an Aasimir woman named Nualia Tobyn, it is likely that the role character of the person who killed Formerfish Night 1 is Nualia Tobyn. The two would do battle then and there with neither seeming to get the upper hand on the other until the scream of an Orc broke their concentration. Off in the distance, the battle-hardy Orc would take a flaming black sword through the back from a pretty, if off-kilter, Aasimar womansurrounded by floating, furless... dogs? This would immediately grab the attention of the town guard all too late. This stopped the fight between the man and the half-blood as both tucked away in different directions immediately afterward.
Night 2 it appears that Vorkuta was indeed killed by Korina due to the proximity of his death in connection with a snake woman. The flaming sword I think indicates the scum's factional kill. I have quoted and put in bold the relevant portion.
The man sauntered through the night, like any other night, completely unaware of where his feet were taking him.The flaming black sword would've woken him up if it hadn't taken his life with it. He'd die in his sleep... but was that really the most peaceful way to go? The Snake-woman smirked as she watched the man slump to the ground with a pool of blood growing around him.Something caught the corner of her eye. Was that bush... moving? She glided through the dirt toward impending doom without even realizing it. Out of the bush came a very ragged man with garb as equally disheveled as his nearly toothless grin.
From the night 1 flavor, we can see that a red haired girl was targeted by a night kill. We can also see that someone intervened in that night kill. Additionally, in that same scene, a snake is depicted as watching from the shadows. In post 9832, zoraster wrote:because of the slither language, gobble?
I'll be honest: reading all the flavor stuff makes my eyes glaze over.
The great deathbringer thought it heard the target speaking to someone, or something, but it was just thered-haired doe-eyed girlin the field of flowers picking away at the daisies. The armor clanked as it approached but still it caught her off guard. She stood up and almost ran into it when turning back toward the town walls.
"Your sacrifice has been acknowledged."
The fair Elven woman stumbled backward, falling to her backside with hands in the air. She screamed. The behemoth in black raised its sword and took a surprise glob of mud to the face.A Grippli man sprang into actionwith a leap between the monstrous swordsman and thefire-haired girl.
"No such thing will happen on dis day," he warned while turning to look over his shoulder. "Get out while you still can, Elf. I'll take it from he--"
The dark sword plunged into his chest. She shrieked and stumbled further backward at the sight of such a thing before finally fleeing. The heavily-armored brute pulled the frogman into his blade even more, the expressionless face draining of color as the black knight wiped the mud from its helmet.
"Orcus accepts your honorable contribution."
A giant snake looked on from the shadows as the lifeless body thudded onto the dirt. Meanwhile, a man in the tower etched a second hash mark after what he'd seen. The ivory-skinned girl ran and ran and ran almost all the way home before colliding face first into another guard. He tried and failed to calm her before rushing to investigate whatever had her so worked up.
We know that Menalque was a red haired elf girl when he and Nero Cain somehow counterclaimed one another. As such we can safely hypothesize that Menalque was targeted for death by the Orcus killer. He was saved from this death by Chemist. The little quotes above confirm this series of events. More importantly, we get our first indication that a giant snake watched this all happen. If someone watched Chemist die, they need to be revealing that information. Since they did not, we can hypothesize that the snake was watching the scene for some other reason than literally watching the power. Additionally, in that scene we have someone etching a mark into the tower. I hypothesize that this is Xofelf's role counting the cult.
On Night 2 we do not see any direct indication of a giant snake, but we do get a comment related to a snake being involved.
Like the Night 1 scene, this scene also depicted a man in a tower etching another mark. As stated above, I believe this is Xofelf's cult counter role in the flavor. Before the portly man in the shadows could really gather his bearings and process what he'd seen, something huge slithered in behind him. He'd turn and look up.
"Oh, uh... I've got wares if you've got the coin for it?"
They'd be the last words he'd speak in truth. Meanwhile, in the tower, the guard etched a third mark on his pad.
Now we have a third flavor scene that greatly adds to the theory the a giant snake is the cult leader. How on earth a cult leader is a giant snake, I will never know. I know I would not join a cult if it was headed by a giant snake.
This scene is clearly depicting the fact that the cult is losing members as fast as it is recruiting them. It also ends with a snake related comment that "It would slither on".In post 8352, chkflip wrote:The events on the previous day happened so swiftly. Sure, the number of townsfolk had been dwindling, but the forces that reckoned against them dwindled as well. For every member of the town that the massive being turned seemed a fool's errand as someone would come up from behind and end them with the same swiftness and vigor. Could the looming threat even grow? She wouldn't stop -- she couldn't, the monster knows only that it must rise above this wretched place -- so even though it lost another this night? It would slither on.
Does that all make sense?- Flavor Leaf

Uh... a roleblocker? In post 9841, gobbledygook wrote:If I am right about my hypothesis, this means that Menalque was the night 1 cult recruit. This would mean that InsideJob would have even less reason to lie about their hider result.
Flavor Leaf, are there any roles that would give a false positive to a Hider?- RCEnigma

UNVOTE:
I think this means that we got incredibly lucky with Raurthedir's lie detector test on InsideJob. I think that InsideJob probably lied about the action used to confirm Zoraster. In other words, InsideJob did not hide behind Zoraster, but confirmed his alignment in some other way. I think this is more likely than that Zoraster is somehow a result that gives a false positive to a Hider. I don't think I have ever played with a role that can give false positives to a Hider other than potentially an ascetic. There has been seemingly a lot of antitown activity aimed at Zoraster that makes me think the scum believed the Hider claim. His vote was cemented on the counter wagon to scumTitus and he has also claimed he was roleblocked at some point in the game.
All these pieces of information together, I think this means that Zoraster is town. That being said, if Wooper does flip town, Zoraster!town theory is weakened considerably.

I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if there are multiples of races. It would confuse flavor analysis. We're also guaranteed red herrings, so...
p-edit
Well, yeah. Also, I mentioned earlier that due to Cult recruiter still being alive, I was more or less guaranteed to get a False on that post. (Inside would not have been able to know zor's alignment was town when they said it, since the recruit could have happened after the hide)- pisskop
