Not sure if that's something she does as town or if it's a potential scum trying to get towncred from the people she's defending.

This "not sure if [x] or [y]" business needs to stop - not just you in particular but in Mafia games across this site in general. It's one or the other and you should be giving an opinion on which you think it is, not just summarizing some possibilities.

I see town motive in her pressuring me to see if my intentions were genuine, even if I didn't like the way she did it, and I see town motive in defending Kanna from being voted or pushed for bad reasons. I think on the whole it's town indicative mindset and skitter didn't particularly need any towncred from Kanna at the time she went to bat for her like that, so I disagree with your possible scum!motive.

Pretty sure the fact that I'm voting Skitter when I could've put the counter-wagon to my wagon (Billy) on L-1 at one stage in the game tells you all you need to know about my alignment.

Not really. There's all sorts of possibilities here and this single fact doesn't really push me in any direction:
1) Town you might have a stronger read on Skitter than Billy
2) You might be afraid of being perceived as desperate to survive voting your counter-wagon, as either alignment
3) Scum you might be afraid of fighting with Billy because you think that will spew him town when he is the main counter to you

I'm most interested in times when I disagree with scumreads and why, cause I think generally townies should be as honest as possible about who they suspect and scumreads are the hardest thing for scum to convincingly fake. I will grant you that it's possible that town!you was going in on Kanna extra hard to push her and I'm glad we both agree that she's town. So are you saying that you didn't actually think she felt threatened and you were just embellishing that solely to push her?

Yes, I'm trying a style where I push more aggressively than I typically would to see if I can get any slips or at least get dialogue going. I know I've achieved the second one, at least. At worst for me she was a null since I saw a lot of passivity in her play that can translate to either alignment. After our interaction I decided to move on to Skit.

I'm only leaving the possibility open on her since I don't really know her town play. I think it would be a bit rash for me to jump in on her and peg that as a 100% scum move when I've never played a game with her and do't know what her scumrange is like. I bring it up as something that could become relevant in the game later, because to me it seems like somewhat pockety behavior. I don't think she really had a reason to jump in for either of those slots on their behalf. I let it slide the first time since I thought it would be a one-time thing. Turns out it wasn't. It's anti-town behavior at the very least imo.

As for being cared how I'm perceived? Not really. GBJ already tried this train of thought on me and it didn't work. If I'm the lynch today it doesn't really matter. If I'm lynched or NKed, D2 if I were you guys I'd be more concerned with getting something out of the less active slots (Non Imh) or those demonstrating passive play (GBJ) without really having a reason to do so.

The unvote on BP still pings me weirdly. It's like a "Oh shit I don't want to be involved in this" unvote to me, especially since the dude only had 3 votes on him. Not a big deal. The reasoning for it ("I don't want a lynch to happen while I'm away) is just... eh? Why does that matter? If you have a read on him, let the wagon develop and more info come out. Even if he got put to L-1, 9 times out of 10 he'd be given time to claim. In those 9 times the worse case scenario is you're lynching at VT, unless the slot for whatever reason decides not to claim.

Just interesting stuff all around that I think needs more attention than my prodding. Maybe it looks different to you guys because you don't know what role I am, but I'm not gonna bother trying to look good when I've got time to question other slots who, if you ask me, haven't really given good responses.

Especially if you could clarify why you thought Kanna seemed "threatened" in 124, that could go a long way. To me that stands out as the most-indicative misrep of the game so far.

i have a tendency to push back against pushes that i think are bad (irregardless of how i'm reading the person getting pushed, sometimes); i disagree that it's anti-town behavior
i do tend to pocket as scum, it's a great tactic that works well for me p often

@298; Call me sceptical, but I have trouble believing in "reaction tests". Like who's to say it's not just a cop out for scummy behaviour?

For this case, consider; I said I was new to mafia early on and believe this was before your push/test/whatever on me. You knew I was new. Being new, don't you think there was a relatively high chance I would "break" if you attacked me? And if I did, would you (as town) be fully ok with lynching me when my mess up could just be because I was inexperienced? I'm honestly less convinced it was a reaction test and more so it was a trap. Also, would me not breaking really even tell you I'm town?
