You can read fantastic scum players off of stupidly simple metrics.

Postie in 2015 determined that, in a year that I had an 100% winrate as scum, my alignment was determinable by the amount of times I swore.

To be specific, if it was below a certain number / posts I was conftown, if it was above I was 66% likely to be scum.

The trick to reading good scum players is to not read them based on what they're good at doing.

And that's not because I literally can't not swear as scum. It's because I wouldn't not swear as scum because it was what I did. There was a very infamous spreadsheet from 2015 that people have probably forgotten about in Year Of Our Lord 2k20 that used that metric and figured out if I was scum. I'm sure that if you spend enough time really trying to figure out any top tier scum player there is something that sets them apart that they aren't doing consciously and that they'll not figure out if you lynch them for it repeatedly. You just can't take down a top tier scum player by trying to apply cookie cutter metrics or policy lynching them because they beat your metrics and they know how to convince towns not to PL them.

I'm keeping an open mind on Ari and I have better townreads but in a state where I feel there's pretty obvious scum who is being largely ignored (or sheeped) I'm going to be defending him based on the read I DO have. I don't think the unvite there is really something I'd consider AI from ari; he's not signalling that he has high confidence reads or a solve he feels is going to smash the game. I think him unvoting and leaving feels kinda just fine in character. But I'm still not sure how I'm meant to know that for a fact - I'm guessing.

I'm doing moving stuff and like tbh I don't give a shit about derailing this into theory so I'm not going to waste my team's time.

Ank is concerned RCE isn't quite on point. RC gets away with a lot more than he should as scum, and regardless of his alignment has basically caused a sincerely unfun d1 just to get a mislynch. [duck chiming in: after consuming his gift of 7 days of fucking misery I STILL had to demand a lynch between us over ari]

Neither of us really trust the town to lynch RC given the resolution of this phase to lynch me. If this does get hammered, everyone here needs to have a long look at my green ass role pm and then remember they accepted this shitty unfun game stat and compromised on this.

There is one way to remedy this.

Lynch RC second. Have an enjoyable game without him toxifying the atmosphere afterwards. No matter what he says d2 if you disagree with this you can enjoy a town loss.
