this will sound kinda egotistical but here we go:

i think part of it the banner and i don't want to like ~fail spectacularly~ knowing that people expect a good scumgame out of me

and i'm kinda thinking of retiring post tm and i'm worried that wanting to go out with a bang is making me be more rash than i would be otherwise and that the success of day1 is unduly bolstering my confidence

It's not that big of decision - realistically we could roll a dice for this and the expected outcome wouldn't be too much different.
If we lose, no big deal. We're doing better than 2 other scumteams at least rn.

once i get a feel for the game i can usually tell how things are going to play out a day or two in advance and can predict how people will react to certain things

and what i can get away
and how town will think about x
