The elementary cellular automata are even more simple than Conway's Game of Life. Instead of examining a 2D grid, there is just a 1D line of black and white cells. A cell's future state depends on its own state and the state of its left and right neighbour, according to some rules. There are 256 possible rules, but many of them are mirror images of each other, so there are only 88 unique rulesets. The rules can be expressed as binary 8 digit numbers. Each possible current configuration is written in order, 111, 110, ..., 001, 000, and the resulting state for each of these configurations is written in the same order and interpreted as the binary representation of an integer. For example Rule 30 is 00011110.
In spite of how simple the rules are, some of rulesets produce such chaotic results that you can use them as a pseudorandom number generator.

@bugspray Are these kinds of questions something you do in most games? I think they're kind of random but I'd rather this than a game with little to no engagement.
The tone and motivation I think are behind his posts come from scum. Seems like trying to pocket me by extending various pointless conversations to build rapport
Contrast this with his response to the question. He gave an entirely flippant answer to best smash game but is suddenly invested in another answer to the same question.
Didn't seem flippant to me. He gave a reasonable answer (as far as I can tell with my limited smash knowledge). But I do agree that the "Who do you main?" question sounds more like an attempt to bond rather than a genuine question.

I agree that both George and TSE look scummy at the moment. The former for putting effort into answering the RVS questions and building rapport, and the latter for his ‘claim’.
Since I'm scumreading TSE too but don't wanna L-1 I'm gonna push Virgo for a response. Assuming TSE is scum for hardclaiming then Virgo would have to be scum with them.
If TSE is indeed scum then it’s unlikely he claims Masons with his actual scum buddy there.
The purpose wouldn’t be to maintain the claim for the rest of the game, but to draw out claims from others in the games by how they react to it. When confronted, TSE can hide behind ‘I was just joking lol’, but it won’t wash here.
Oh I see. I assumed he wouldn't claim with anyone other than the other scum just because if he did they'd immediately call him out for it. Guess it was just that foolish of a play? But either way I want to see what Virgo says so I'll still press them with my vote.
If both scum hard claim masons D1 and stick to it, then they lose 100% of the time.
Yes Jackson probably would call him out on it, and in doing so might reveal something about his role, as might others in how they respond/comment on it. For example, if someone takes the claim as the truth then they obviously aren’t a pr, as we’re in a semi-open.
