Me, that depends on the number of masons I drafted. If fewer than 3, then I get a one shot normal role (with normal modifiers) of my choice.

As for the protection, I'm being hands off but I wouldn't mind as of now a doctor being on you. I'm the weakest early but I love the reach out.
