I disagree. I haven't played with OS so I can't say anything about his playstyle or how he types, but it didn't feel like there was any malicious intent in saying that he played with you before. Rather, it's strange that you're somewhat aggressively putting the spotlight on him. I like your desire to get the game moving, but this might be a dead end.

I think he's saying it might be town indicative

For the record it's NAI -- I linked my OS account in the detective pikachu game (the last "chu" in my RQS response that game) so the account linkage is already outed

I played with a guy who didn't like scum so he self-voted in rvs then sat on it pretty much all day

Is the act of OS admitting this is an alternate account alignment indicative? What are people's thoughts?
I'm wondering if !scumOS (scenario of OS having rolled mafia this game) versus !townOS would admit, versus not admit, to being an alternate account, or if I'm barking up the wrong tree completely and this has no relevance at all...

I don't think it's the kind of thing that's never alignment indicative, but I question the motivation here considering (I assume) most of us haven't played with OS before.

This post feels a little weird to me, a very, very slight off ping.

The use of double negatives also feels awkward. You could have said "i think its the kind of thing that may sometimes be AI, but in this context given noone has. Played with him b4..."

I meant "I question why OS would have an alignment indicative agenda in mind when revealing he was an alt account, considering that very few people in the thread have played with him before". His hypothetical motivation was what I was questioning, not yours.

Ah, my only experience with mafia is forum mafia with friends many years ago... I only played three games and I don't really remember much. My group of friends liked not lynching during the first day, but I am aware that's not optimal and not what's done over here from what I've read. I haven't played enough to have a clear preference of alignment, but for now I think town is what I like best.

Also, tomatoes are tasty.

I see we have a few newly-registered players in this game.

What is everyone's prior experience in playing mafia (forum mafia or otherwise)?
Do you prefer playing as town or scum?

This is my 3rd game of forum mafia. I have also previously played browser-based mafia (epicmafia) and enjoy hidden identity board games
I prefer to play as town. I enjoy solving/deducing who is who in the zoo. I find being mafia can be stressful.

@ JV these questions
