Lines of speed streaked behind the yellow-clad warrior as he ran along the top of the wall. The Smiling Samurai sped along at full pace. The arrows of the bumbling ninjas were deflected by the wind of his passage, and he laughed for the joy of it. He leaped from the wall, aiming a kick into one assassin's face while whipping out his katana. He spun in place, cutting more arrows out of air as energy charged around his sword. With a victorious shout, he unleashed his power attack, and a shockwave burst out from his chest as he slashed the weapon in the last two ninjas' general direction. The inept black-clad warriors were blasted away into the forest, a starburst marking their disappearance - until next week, at least.
The brightly-colored samurai smiled broadly and aimed a "thumbs up" gesture at his companion, the youthful Sana. She came out of hiding brushing off her long red coat. The samurai rushed over to see if she was hurt, his speed making a yellow streak across the grass as he ran. "You still have an arrow stuck in your hair," she said. The samurai reached up, a single giant bead of sweat forming on his forehead as his face slackened into dismay. When he touched the fletchings of the offending projectile, he crashed to the ground in shock.
"You know," she said with her nose in the air, "You may be the fastest samurai in Japan, but you're still the worst."
