I don’t care what anyone says. The Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy is the best Spider-Man series. And to the haters of Toby, he was perfect in that role, let me tell you why. This character is meant to have laughably wtf lines. I mean, they have the guy wall run the morning after he realizes he has powers, and isn’t thinking anything major of it.just casually does. He’s meant to be campy, this is the director writer of the Evil a Dead seri3s, come on. The tone of each of the 3 movies feels pretty much the same, and that’s really accomplishing to do. The pacing of these movies are really strong as well. Spider man 1 and 2 go from our hero’s perspective, our villain’s perspective, then the meetup. Every single time through out the movie they repeat that sequence with the scene order. Spider-Man 2 has the AMAZING subplot of the entire world just kind of shitting on Peter. Literally every one off character or side character in this movie straight up is shit to Peter. Even the broom closet hated him, as shown when the brooms attacked him for way too awkwardly long. (Medium 2 shot with no cuts causes awkwardness
In film). And then even Spiderman3 has good structure. Hero scene, villain scene, meet up, take them out, repeat. It makes this movie like 3 movies in 1 because of the 4 act structure it uses. First act is The origin stories of the 4 corners of this story line, Peter, Sandman, Harry, Venom, and that’s more of a prologue. We then get the Harry act, followed by the Sandman act, and ending with the Venom act into our Conclusion. That’s my only fault of this movie, Venom didn’t need to be in this as a final boss type, and I know Sony wanted him in it, so they had to include it, but they could have just had that church bell scene with Venom, and be done with it! That would have been a perfect setup for the 4th one, and would continue an arc in a different way, Peter Parker dealing with the attitude change from the parasite.

The Star Wars prequels aren’t fundamentally bad, they’re actually quite good on that level. The problem was George Lucas as a director/screenwriter just didn’t work. There were a lot of superfluous dialogue choices where if you could just straight up omit several lines throughout the movies, it would have been much better off. Also, Jar Jar Binks after they meet up with the Naboo council, and get trapped on Tattooine is utterly pointless. This isn’t even sour grapes, as I don’t even hate the character being there

he had a narrative purpose, which he doesn’t. The comic relief isn’t even character building or has any good feel character to it. They’re all the same exact thing with Jar Jar being a bumbling fool. Had they had him interact with Anakin more, even to the point of being Anakin’s main confidante, like an older cousin/brother type to Anakin, his purpose in the movies would have been far superior. The dialogue inflections were also terrible, moreso than the dialogue itself. If George had let the actors play a bit more with the exact same lines, it would have come across much better. There’s a good story if you just take the outline, and piece together what you can. Anakin not understanding the Jedi ways, and learning the Jedi Council was doing dirty things in a non Jedi manner, and questioning his loyalty. His emotional uncontrollability due to training far too late, and being extremely force sensitive wasn’t touched on as much as it should have been either. These are all things we know, but they just kind of said a lot of the things rather than show us, and they showed us and gave more purpose to things they shouldn’t have. Beginning of Episode 2, Anakin and Obi Wan’s first scene together is them in an elevator

telling

us how good their partnership has become, whereas Episode 3, their entrance is them

showing

us how strong in-sync they are. They’re up in space, flying, taking down one of Grieveous’ giant war ships, and they’re spinning and dodging, and essentially flying in-sync, and Anakin helps get those spider droids off of Obi Wan. They work well together, and it’s shown rather than told, which makes it come off far stronger to the audience.

Actually, I wanted to lynch you. I just thought that the interaction between Hectic and Ame was TvS due to both not being suspicious of Karnage starting the wagon.

I want dsj to explain this further because him and Ame only had the pregame, and then Night 1 to talk to each other because there's no daytalk. So unless he's an encrypter, I'm not sure I buy this.

Do you have any statistical basis that I can consult ?

Mini Normal 2115 had a three person hood, one of them was scum.
Large Normal 223 had a two person hood, one of them was a scum traitor.

I'm not saying that this is definitively the case, but it's an option we need to consider.
