Like actually, the biggest problem I face here before the game even starts is I have a bunch of players who don’t want to play scum :/

The trick is to leave town to implode on itself.

You’re drafting to stay hidden, not the best scum as they will be FoS’d

I like freaked out in Altima game waffling back and forth whether to draft Titus or not.

But like you didn't even give yourself herrings like a bunch of protections, like giving yourself strongmen with a cop and a bunch of non doc protections on town side.

Like give yourself self mechanical deep wolves. Play in to the theatre. And coach your team. Nothing is stopping you from writing your team's posts or getting someone to dictate people's stances. Which is why you give yourself someone like Hectic who is a sponge for learning things, and draft experience like Amrun, Me, Spiff.
