only ur not protecting actual masons by claiming that because:

1) other masons will go FUCK HE LYING MUST BE SCUM LYNCHHHHH

2) menal doesn't know there are masons unless he actually is a mason. therefore he risks pinging other power roles, who will either CC him and push him, or investigate him at night which is usuless if menal is town, diverting power away from scum.

Menal's claim is pretty safe and I'm inclined to believe it, personally. Ico even admitted that the only real conclusion here is that he's telling the truth (post 196)... and is still insistent that Menal is scum despite that..? What? The arguments he puts forth for how its a bad play in post 193 sound good but don't really ring true in practice. The distraction argument (post 195) is even more hollow, if anything, and I can't follow the logic here at all. The mason claim has to be true, but he's also scum and bussing me but also drawing attention away all at the same time...? Ico absolutely picked Menal here as the target for the lunch first, and is trying to force the conclusion when the evidence isn't there. That's pretty bad on its own, since it's something that's more scummy than not, but combine it with yesterday's stuff and Ico just looks so much worse to me.

I'm having a hard time classifying your reaction. I saw similar behavior in two other games, and both came from the red alignment, but that would contradict the lines of honesty I felt in your text.

The question is:

why do you show so much resistance to the simple conclusion that Menalque is a mason and is trying to solve the game ? I just need to understand this point correctly to start thinking about it.
