3 scum with 800 so thats max 3 buyoutsIn post 691, Titus wrote:My MariaR read is falling due to her lack of posting.
Oh just FYI, unless we lynch scum today, I don't plan on putting the dayvig in the shop. However, if it appears, it should be used as a second lynch for town if I die. Get a slot to L-1, it claims. If the day vig recipient thinks the slot is scum, it shoots it. If not, it doesn't. It needs to decide within 12 hours or its next post.
That is unless the dayvig holder also has a mechanical guilty. Then the holder should try to drive a wagon on the guilty target. If the wagon is successful pre-claim, hold the shot. If another wagon gets to L-1, then shoot the guilty.
A2: cop shot, scum will take it, one will bid 501
If we get scum today, that gets rid of another buyout
A3: dayvig shot, scum will take it, one will bid 501
After that scum wont have buying power and you buy the auction cop shots to try and find the 501 dayvig bid
Being real dayvig is a trap in this set up lmaoShoutout to PJ and Nahdia for making my amazing new avi :)

Dayvig is not a trap. It's a pretty poweful role if you actually hold off using it as town. Sometimes the threat of a role is more effective than actually having it trigger. I had the ability to force scum to face an extra lynch by holding my dayvig in Titus v Alisae. That effectively hamstrung the last scum's endgame because he would be out of lynches mechanically. I even added the novice modifier to my dayvig to ensure I couldn't blow it too early. In post 701, Ginngie wrote:

Scum on the other hand would want to blow a dayvig early as soon as they got a hint of whoever had the two shot watcher role for instance, as watcher can get a hard guilty early in the game. Scum successful play is about blocking the ways town can defeat you or blocking the ways your team can implode. (Town is sort of similar although you actually have to go forward towards lynching/shooting scum as well.)ShowThe scum had the misfortune of Titus being absurdly accurate on day one.Really quite impressed by that.~Drixx
You're letting Titus win the game by herself.Good luck now I guess. You have no chance to win.~Tywin

Those of you who haven't had the incomparable pleasure of a true Pine catchup, I prefer to use a page-by-page stream of consciousness. The only thing I've really looked at so far has been Ali's ISO, to figure out what the general gamestate/auction state is. I'll include post links as I go, but will only quote for extra-important stuff, to reduce clutter. Here we go!
PAGE 1
-Nothing really interesting, except to learn that Pengu is The Captain. Aye aye, sir!
-I take it back, Menalque actively campaigning for Market Leader is concerning, I'll keep an eye on him.
PAGE 2
-25 & 26 - Don't let Menalque fool you with this "I'm a naive new player" crap. Blowing his whole wad in the first page and campaigning hard for leader...yeah, no. Do not like.
-33 - Datisi knows what's up.
PAGE 3 & 4
-Blah blah fluffy nonsense.
-Datisi continues to be Town.
PAGE 5
-101 - Cool, Gamma's got a head on his shoulders
-116 - Ehh, I took it as a joke. If she actually follows through, we'll talk. Actions > RVS jest. Decent early game vote though.
-Ginny's entrance looks genuine, though I'm only like 75% on that equating to Towniness.
PAGE 6
-Not seeing the early TRs on Titus. She's being sensible, but that's not even close to outside her scumrange.
-149 - Oh never mind I'm seeing it now.
This is Titus!Town. Being logical and reasonable could be either, but she's going out of her way to educate and explain. In post 169, Titus wrote:
Being the most effective shopkeeper owner involves identifying town and placing the best items for them in the market. People play differently. In post 161, gobbledygook wrote:
Why do you/does anyone need strong reads to be an auction ownerIn post 129, Titus wrote:am good with setup spec but I don't have strong enough reads to be a marketplace leader yet.
PAGE 8
-Menalque's shading of Titus and Datisi is really stinky here. Especially as he's hedging. "Your reasoning is boring but not AI" and "This is bad if serious" is especially worrisome, as it seeks to put them down but not alienate. I don't see Town!Mena waffling like that.
PAGE 9
-Hey! A Pine!
PAGE 10-11
-Datisi's tunneling and Mena softening his stances a bit makes me like the former a little less and the latter a little more.
PAGE 12
-283 - Agreed, Mena/Turkey feels contrived, probably at least one scum in them, possibly two.
-290 - Maria actively sorting, she can be Town.
PAGE 13
-I'm seeing the Gobble suspicion here. The thought process he's expressing feels artificial, contrived more towards gaming the system than solving it.
PAGE 14
-Gamma's looking really good here. He's gamesolving and sorting.
-Gobble vs Mena starting to really look like a mutual bus ploy.
PAGE 15
ThisIn post 357, gobbledygook wrote:So his entire read on me is based off one post. And that’s somehow okay with people.reallyfeels like scum petulant at being caught for the "wrong reasons."
-I also really dislike his repeated use of "When I flip Town, what will you think of..." It's inherently in bad faith - you're dismissing peoples' observations, then demanding they respond to a hypothetical.
-Gobble then buddying Datisi feels off.
PAGE 16
Umm, fucking what? No. You're not reading the same game I am. Empty reads that don't make sense or have internal consistency = HIGHLY SUSPECT.In post 376, Pink Ball wrote:So Titus and Captain are town, gobble and Mena are both town too. Pine is probably town. Chemist could go either way but more town than scum. Bingle and Alacrity no content overall. Gingie I have no impression. And that goes perfect with my three scumreads: Datisi, Gamma and Maria!
Solved game guys.
Elect: Menalque
-392 - This made me laugh though.
PAGE 17
-411 - FUCKING EXACTLY. Locktown Gamma. "Launching pad for a narrative." Gotta remember that turn of phrase.
Going to leave off at the top of page 18 for now. Since starting catch-up, I've watched an hour of Sesame Street and most ofInside Outwith the rugrat, made three lunches, had a summer camp staff meeting via Zoom, finally gotten the FedEx package I've been waiting half a month for, and done the dishes. I'm committed to finishing this by sundown."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

That being said, in this type of setup, there is a good chance I am wrong about one of Gobble/PB being scum.
Gobble's vote claims appear to be particularly town unless he's the 500 dollar watcher bid.
PB and I just mindmeld too much for me to think he's scum.

I didn’t ask them to bus each other or suggest that.
I suggested if we do bus we have to commit to it. I also suggested that they bus me since NSG would need Paragon cred if she was going to live to endgame in that game she would need it and FF is a better scum player than I am. Both of my teammates disagreed but then ended up doing exactly what I suggested just without the planning. It was all sorts of awkward.- gobbledygook

What do you mean “when you had given another hard town read?” — you mean ginngie or me
Also gobble trying to get me to shake off a scumread by insulting me is like probably the least effective way you could possibly approach that. Makes me feel like I’m being manipulated and commit to getting people lynched even harder
What should I be seeing that I’m not
