Conversation on page five between Despair and Mikoto feels a bit off but I can't quite put my finger on what I don't like about it. Mostly a note for myself to go back later.

When I first read your interaction it sounded to me a bit like how scum try to sound like they're definitely not a pair. But thought that was my knee-jerk response when I read it again I wasn't so convinced that that was it but there still felt like there was something there. <----that feeling might have originated with your first question which was super empty like why wouldn't someone want a vig shot? vig shot is at the top of the best roles ever, so asking why someone wanted one was super empty and felt like you trying to figure out how to start a conversation with someone. From there it just got weirder because while despair was being coy and that's whatever, you were really over formal. Like to me you just read like someone standing over despair in a stuffed shirt talking down to her and it read really formal and weird. And after undertale, nacho was talking to me about why he thought he originally misread your meta in that when he only read your scum games he got a picture of you as someone who was very formal as scum and I was like is this what nacho was talking about with the formalities of a scum game? I don't know, but something just felt off about that conversation, enough that I read it a few times trying to figure out why I got a bit fixated on it. Might be nothing, might be something.

but yes, it still bothers me when we're on different wavelengths even when we're super early into the game. i think that you're generally an excellent scumhunter so when you decide to push things or get feelings in certain places i can see where you're coming from and i don't really think you're the type to throw shit to the wall and see what sticks when town. so my thought when you're super far off where i am (as you were there) is that you're forcing shit/doing something cute.

not the MOST SIGNIFICANT THING in the world, of course, but it's kind of how i've felt about you all game - we're not as hard to figure out this game as you're making it out to be and the "i'm gonna wait for tammy to post more" bit is a cop out.

I'm kinda standing on the sidelines about this right now, sorry. This was the part of the game I was dreading because I was like oh great nacho's gonna scum read spiffeh because nacho always scum reads spiffeh (am i right about that?) and he's gonna feel so right because his surging confidence eclipses my uncertainty to where it causes me distress and makes things no fun. SO, I'm letting him do his thing to get his read and work on my own so that I can either argue with him or listen to him.

Does that make sense? I'm sorry if that's annoying because you're one of my favorite players and I appreciate that you work with me when we're both town, but I've also had to change how invested I get in games because mafia became no fun there for a while. (I did really like your interaction with me earlier just before the mini game started if that helps.)

Can you talk about why you liked mikoto so much at the start of the game though?

Unapologetic Foxy actually felt town off first glance but that could be me misreading their personal vibe as AI. Through scampering the thread before it got larger earlier, I found that they townread this hydra - and I want them to elaborate on why. Since they supported someone who 1/2 of the hydra didn't agree with one of the first wagons of the game, I want to know what about this hydra's content is appealing.

Okay so, I said towniest vibe, not that I was townreading you. I know there's not that much of a difference, but there is a little bit of nuance. By towniest vibe I mean things that feel like a net positive that will only make the game easier to sort. However, I've played a few too many games that the person who was doing the nicest most helpful things were scum, so having a good vibe isn't enough for me to townread a slot. Their actions, as well as their content, also need to be good.

So what I was saying was I like the way you post. Like, your pair feels like one that actual discussion with clearly stated and easy to follow points will come from. Also the bolding of names in your posts makes them so much easier to process rather than just pure walls of text like most people tend to post with. It just was easy to read and follow, and I like that and hope that continues.

Actually that twitch doesn't really do my feelings justice. It's just so sugary and really is there a difference between townie vibe and town lean at this point and gods help me for saying this but that's a lot of words to distinguish between something that just really isn't that different. Feels like someone who is too concerned about locking in reads this early in a game when you can change those reads based on new posts. And then the like the format of posts = townie vibes but not town read just feels eeeeehhhhhhhh.
