Why are you assigning roles? This just again is a long way to get at who is a PR. Unless you have a neighborhood or some other way to protect said roles, you shouldn't do this.

The only safe way to use the shot is to no lynch

Worst case scenario

2v5 no lynch, scum kills
2v4 it's day and the shot is used.
2v3 town gets hit, it's now LyLo and we used the shot.

or

Worst case scenario
2v5 we mislynch
2v4 scum kills
2v3 dayvig misfires and we lose 2v2.

That's the only way I see getting full utility out of what we have.

Allowing the dayvig to exist has much more harm than benefit and it's frankly surprising nobody else has seen this yet.

If scum sniped the auction detective for greater than 300 and scum sniped the cop (known), then the dayvig winner is conftown.

If they kill Chemist, they kill a mislynch instead of widely regarded town. It also gives a view of the gamestate the day Chemist was wagoned.

This post by you functionally proves my point re: we should be manipulating the auction to prove those people who still have all their money. Scum knowing who got what individual roles doesn't really hurt us at this point in the game, because if we operate the bidding mechanic properly we can potentially confirm people to be town mechanically.

7 alive, four conftown = game is solved. Alternatively, two guilties also solves the game.
