I'm actually more an inventor / polymath type, but The Thinker embraces the general idea of thinking twice (or more) and acting once. So I don't really have a favorite philosopher per se. Da Vinci from the renaissance era, Edison from the modern.
Very nice. Dave locktown for this. My favourite modern inventor is Tim Berners-Lee.

Do you mean Alo vs Bobman? If so; yes. I can see scum!Aloratom dancing around Bobman's serious question of why he was asking him that that, and what he was hoping to learn from it, and responding with a joke in .

Also, I kinda want to have more of Aloratom's ISO be talking about the Bobman.

Could you explain that confidence here?
Let me double check.

@bob -- are you scum this game?
@bob -- Before I definitively report back to Wake, can you answer this for me?
At first I thought you were joking with this line of questioning but this comes off like you're being serious about it.

How does this help you determine bob's alignment?
Determining
Bob's
alignment wasn't the initial goal, but when Bob seemingly disregarded my 179, I was compelled to follow up. Now that Bob's answered that, I can go back to what I was doing.
And how did you expect him to answer 179? Were you trying to get a reaction out of him?

There's not much of a sample to work with there.

What makes you think Alo not answering the question is a scum move?

I don't know whether it makes Hectic town or scum that he ignored my comment about him not inspiring confidence.
Evading a question, to me, is not Townish whatsoever.

It's Scummy behavior.

That's not an answer. That's an evasion.

Again, WHY are you so confident about his alignment?

Answer me.

I can never tell with Wake. I've had my fair share of scumreading him because of his aggressive/overconfident style he adopts the longer the game goes on. You question whether he actually believes the stuff he's saying at times, a lot due to the way he says it. Though, in this case actually, I think the misunderstanding on his part is completely NAI.

It was not so much a question, as just a call to attention that there may be something off about Hectic's posting. Still, do you think it is alignment-indicative to ignore a remark like this?

I kinda like how Alo doesn't comment on own scum meta. At the very least, I'm glad he doesn't make any claims about his play this game being different from how he plays scum.

Damn, Bob. You've foiled my plan of pitting you and Aloratom off against each other!

No, but I just assumed Bobman vs Aloratom was referring to your two's interactions. Vs is a term that is very loosely used in mafia.

Basically this.

It's easy to be aggressive when you don't have a clue who's who. When you know exactly who is who it's extremely difficult for me to feign ignorance or poke and prod at things (because I already have the answers).

Actually changed my mind. The first time I played with wake I found his seemingly exaggerated persistence annoying

It came from a place of town and it's happening again I think.
