I think your expectation is unrealistic. The only players who should give you blowback for participating in mastina's claim are scum, since a town player can simply not participate and as long as they remain alive, there is little risk of mastina's claim being fulfilled.

I agree that there is a low likelihood of mastina being group scum.

I'm voting Bulbazek over mastina because I don't trust him but I don't think mastina is group scum.
