Mate, you misunderstand the PoE. It's one of "unclaimed" status. They need to claim whether they are or are not in a hood. That's all I want to know. They are suspicious until they had claimed this (or confirmed the alternative hypothetical statement to be true). I am not saying we should lynch/not lynch based on who is/isn't in a hood.

Re-read my post: I called the behavior of posting it in copy-cat style scummy. Like ... the entire emphasis of my comment towards it was on the "monkey see/monkey do" aspect. You can clearly understand my thinking if you take a few moments to read what I typed and think about what produces that content.

Attacking someone's mental state is not ever "tame". I'm generally fairly anti-PC as a rule, but I am pretty firmly against personal attacks in mafia. They don't advance the game. They only make it toxic. Please don't defend toxic.

There are a whole bunch of terms for

behavior

which is out of proportion to the threat. A comment on behavior is not a comment about the individual personally. A lot of them are synonyms for "irrational". Interpreting those as comments about mental state is a problem with the receiver, it is not a problem with the sender. I don't buy this for a second as being a real reaction. If it is a real reaction you don't belong on this site at all.

A read would be nice. Perhaps a comment on someone else's read. I'm not all that picky as long as it expresses some kind of opinion on the game.

I kinda like Dany's re-entry back into the thread. I'm not feeling scum there as much, also given A50's explanation of his post.

I also think both Vecna and Elsa Jay are town.

@MorningTweet - honestly, I went back and reread BM's ISO and I can't really justify why I had him so hard town earlier. I think it was because we mindmelded on the first reply to George's push on farside, and then the danyBoy suspicion. But when I read it altogether and look at how he's defending himself against various pressure, I can imagine it being scum.

Forgot to mention this is a pet peeve of mine. Making a comment that someone hasn't posted enough material is in no way throwing shade. Throwing shade isn't even a thing. Accusing someone of throwing shade pretty much never means anything other than boo-hoo that guy made a comment about me.

When you talk about it being "real" do you mean the idea that I'm personally offended? Of course I'm not. It generally takes a pretty significant amount of shittery to actually get to me personally. But there are many people who don't play on this site anymore who I really enjoyed playing with, and they don't play here because people were allowed to take a swing at them personally, and if ever they spoke up, people piled on and told them to grow a thicker skin.

So ... as a general rule, I point it out and ask people to do better. When I notice it. Which is much more likely (but not universally) to be when it's aimed at me.

So ... it's real in the sense that I'd prefer people confine attacks to the substance of rhetoric and play ... but it's not "real" in that I'm not feeling like I need to question my sanity because Vecna called me crazy.


Also ... got FINALLY sent home with my equipment for work from home. Hooray.

i think farside is scum but its her first game back from hiatus and im not motivated to push it

well, i dont think her posting has improved, all ive really done this game is try to get a read on her and all her responses felt awkward/forced
nevertheless i am kind of looking to move from her, i dont actually want to lynch her d1, even if thats dumb favoritism

my experience with elsa, is that he is someone who prefers scum, and cares less when he is town
my main experience of him being scum is CB, where he fought hard against being wagoned and seemed a lot more invested, so i am inclined to take his dislike of role as genuine, and general uncaring attitude, as a weak indication of town
its also similar to my own feelings abt this game rn and im town so.
