People associate "new" with "better" for some reason in our age.

It’s been like that at least for as long as I’ve been on site. I can remember people used to call out early scumreads that stayed scumreads as having “gone stale” as if scummy things stopped being scummy after a few days.

I may or may not have a role and the role that i may or may not have may or may not be strong. It might be both strong and nonexistent, or weak and real. Either way, I think this alch/FB interaction is maybe townie even as they both role fish?

Now, my job is to convince people so let me be pretty cheeky here, and self-importat/pseudo-intelectual, since you guys love that stuff to bits.

I was actively reading Newbie 1966, which Jake took part in, and I was the unique player to be able to TR the guy by the end of day 1, when he got mislynched.

I checked his meta last night or so and what I was thinking is probably true.

You see, Jake is a player that's mislynched a lot unhappily. But it's also someone which I noticed a very notable difference in scum/town meta.

This game has 3 and a half days to it, more or less. I would like to wait even more, but I'm a bit impatient so whatever, if I'm wrong on this I won't feel too bad.

Jake is hard leaning to his scum meta.

What’s the difference in their meta?

In every town game of his to date, there's this:

1) He posts in average at least once a day in early game

2) He's to some extent at least involved in what's happening

3) He actually tries to solve alignments or discuss what's happening in the game at the moment

Now look at his ISO here, look at his "vote", look at what he actually came to comment here to "contribute" since the mod told him he did NEED to say something game-related.

I'll later do some highlight when I've more time to make this more appetizing, and steadily revelaing more info on the read is better than revealing it all in one go because it keeps the wagon/discussion burning, but when this game started, he was around, and was active in every other ongoing game but here.

To this date, there's no town game of him that he shows such a disinterest in early game, and goes on 3 days without engaging relevant things being discussed or so.

In fact, in newbie 1966 he was a town wreck, tunneling players, giving reads and all.

His wolf game though...there is a quote from himself that says it well to me:

"I don't know what to say".

In his scum game he just keeps posturing by commenting on gamestate (see his redudant conclusion about the hammerer), has notable less activity than in his town games, and generally gives the feeling of forced posts/not knowing what to say.

I'm kind of positively sure that in one of his scum games, he stayed around until LyLo without actually posting proper reads/game content just because town was too busy with the oddballs to notice him coasting.

Ok. I’m not moving off Peter but this does help convince me that Jake is scum.

Peter saying he's a strong player rubs the wrong way, as his post asking for hammer, so I wouldn't mind if he's lynched, but I particularly give Jake higher odds at the moment.

If I'm wrong on Jake by any chance, I could see Peter being very likely scum, maybe.

ok but when/if Jake flips scum ppl or myself are going to say the same things. I'll never understand why y so many ppl are against pre-flip association especially considering that town players are on borrowed time.
