Yes. Just because in the last set up gibus and I were masons, we have no confirmation that we are in the same set up.In post 258, CopyKat wrote:maybe but does scum call out who they think is a mason pair in the game thread?
Its strange that he's calling out possible mason pairs when town has no interest in outing PRs, or the lack thereof.
In mafia, the extra information that scum teams have is their biggest advantage, the fact is, as town, we need to work to deprive the scum of what little information we have that they do not, while also working to find scum.
Outing PRs is never a good idea as town, and is a scum move.I've only made one good post, and don't you dare accuse me of doing it again.- CopyKat

Its real easy for scum to hide behind bad play if you let scummy plays go as just bad playIn post 260, CopyKat wrote:

If I were scum, I would try to talk to fish as little as possible and wouldn't dare say that it was unfortunate that they were not my scum buddy. In post 257, CopyKat wrote:tinfoil hat theory: formerfish/ironcat scum pair. their back and forth so far is just theater.

Because the PRs can reveal when they are actually up for lynches. In post 264, gibus wrote:Why is it bad for town to out masons? It can help in elimination so early lynches can be more accurate.
It's not town's job to say "This is the setup we are in, let's not lynch the PRs these are our PRs."
By outing PRs in the main thread, we are now making Mafia's job easier if you are right. Also, the fact is that now, if you are right, and one of them dies and is a mason, we do not have shit to go on tomorrow based on the NK. We would have been able to look at who the NK is and say "Who is most likely to kill this person?" if they are a PR, "Who was likely to guess they were a PR?"
That goes out the window.
Outing PRs is always anti town, there is no other way about it.I've only made one good post, and don't you dare accuse me of doing it again.- feathers

I guess.. I don't really know a lot of nuanced techniques like some are doing here, I'm just trying to help with the process of elimination people are talking about. I might just wait for you guys to figure something out if I can't then give my vote as a +1 to help that way. Though I think you're more town for pointing out what you just said. (You could be trying to reverse-psychology that but I don't want to go down that rabbit hole, heh.)In post 249, votato wrote:also the things you guys town read me for are very easy to fake as scum
Yeah I think I agree with this. I'm not sure of anyone being mafia but Gibus is one of the only people I can find good reasons to suspect rn, just kinda tripping a lot of flags. I know that everything he's doing from the vote switching/spamming to the mason reveals could just be inexperience but it's kind of a lot together, and I don't know how much I want to assume inexperience, because even the people who aren't labeled as SEs like votato and freddie are talking like they know what they're doing. Also Fish seems like he's very experienced and he was suspecting Gibus immediately as well.In post 259, brassherald wrote: Its real easy for scum to hide behind bad play if you let scummy plays go as just bad play- gibus

ok I've been trying to give you the benefit of the doubt but this may be a legit scum slip...
outing PR's makes for more accurate lynches. ok this is misguided but not entirely wrongIn post 264, gibus wrote:Why is it bad for town to out masons? It can help in elimination so early lynches can be more accurate.
so the first quote implies being more accurate is bad for scum but the second quote implies not being more accurate is bad for scum.In post 265, gibus wrote:If it doesn't make them more accurate, the mafia would waste night kills
I think you lost track of which side of the argument you are supposed to be on
