I'm having a bit of difficulty seeing that team as the solve but at the same time I'm having some difficulty undestanding D1/N1 if Nero/Popop is town.

I feel at least one of them needs to be scum or...it may be the weirdest night kill I've ever seen?

Popop/Nero doesn't...feel like scum necessarily.

Popop is easier to believe to be scum than Nero in face value.

If both Popop/Nero are town, and Zantetsu/Alch/Luna are town, it means:

-> We had in D1 ultra good solves, we had 4 correct consensus town reads more or less (Churros, Alch, Luna, Nero) + add Zantetsu to it maybe (he wasn't that town read on d1) , and I was hard defending one of their top mislynches Popop, if he was town. But...they decided to kill Elems instead of any of the vocal players?

We literally would have more or less scum in our collective lynch pool in D1 and they would have let us alone to nightkill a vigilante crumb at best.

ok i've reread the day and im willing to admit the entire scumteam isnt voting me right now.

because they couldnt be that dumb? idk actually. nero is kinda null-town to me now if im completely honest. his insane tunneling at this point feels like possible town.

but its mainly the fact that he is voting me with my other huge scumreads. im not that important that the 3 players voting on me are all scum, and nero is the least likely scum to me out of that pool.

I can see that being said to a partner which means Nero/Popop but like...their interactions, more from popop side, are so good.

But Nero individually being scum...idk I'm getting cold feet.

Almost everyone else is town reading him for some reason and some of his posts do pass a town thought process.

I'm not saying popop is scum, right now my head is spinning and I don't know exactly whom I scum read but, I disagree with your assessment of popop. When I was caught scum (except in last game where it was due to a fake claim by partner) I acted similarly indignant. I was outraged, very frustrated and flustered. I wrote in all caps.

So I do not agree with you that popop's response was so town.

We would have way too many town reads right/ too vocal about it for they to chase a crumb that may or may not be real.

I feel that most likely, they weren't too worried about town day play and thought "hey, maybe that's a crumb, let's try to kill it?" because they didn't need to worry too much elsewhere.

The game seems to implicate that one of Popop/Nero/Profi needs to be scum. Especially Popop/Nero. There's no other reasonably way to understand mafia gameplan here if that's not it I think...

Alternatively they made a bunch of really random and hasty decisions which I don't believe a lot...
