In post 157, Atarashi Hajimari wrote:@votato: how is 119 not me implying that being at the end of the wagon isn't bad?

Also, why is me saying "Hey I didn't actually do that thing you're scumreading me for" not a good defense? Taken from either perspective of how many it took to lynch, I wasn't near the 'end' of the wagon.
i dont think it much matters where you are on a wagon without a flip.

because the implied accusation is not "you put someone at l-2" but rather "you intended to put someone at L-2". and i think the relevant part of the case was not whether it was L-2 or not, but whether it was relatively close to a lynch without a reason.

i guess i will say that coming out of RVS the first vote on someone doesnt generally need to have great reasoning: it could be a hunch, gut, a strange word or phrase. but by the end of that wagon it should be a much better clearer reason, and that goes for the initial vote too. that is, by the time someone is lynched, everyone on that wagon needs to be confident enough in their vote to take responsibility for it. if you think you're putting someone in danger of being lynched, you should have a reason. you didnt. it was you who said you thought it was L-2.

and i can be a bit rude sometimes. its just the way i am. im very upfront, and if i notice things i have no problem calling them out. i dont see why it should be an issue - it wont impact how i read you, i have friends who are very egotistical, etc. it is what it is. but i do think that it is.

Substantiate this. Preferably from what NPOM has said.

I'm more interested in your post-vote behavior than the actual vote itself.

I assumed it was based on him because you had pronounced a slight townread on me moments prior.

Puppy says he knows me, I am pretty clearly confused by that and he still hasn't answered where he knows me from. I haven't pressed the matter because it doesn't really matter in the context of this game.

P-edit: I think he made a shaky argument, based on an assumption of your mindset from posts you made where you misunderstood the wagon-state, and now you're both digging your heels in but there's no juice behind it because you both know it's pretty weak all around.

atarashi, if you go re-read i think you'll find is that what i found scummy about you was not the vote you placed, or how close it put puppy to a lynch, but rather the lack of reasoning for the vote and some of your posts immediately following. Actually, the feeling is getting stronger. you are really indignant whenever anyone dares to think anything you do is scummy. you aggressively push at anyone who calls you out. you placed an OMGUS vote. i dont recall ever seeing you this jumpy. and i've read through a couple of your previous games. your post style is also rather different. you are usually an analytical player with long wallposts. here you are asking questions and pressing people. it feels pretty different.

this reads as questioning your state of mind. but really, i can only speak for myself and what i see the issue as being. you should ask NPOM. he's active in the thread and asking questions of you, and you keep ignoring him.

Hot damn, 6 pages since I had my afternoon tea?

now I remember who Quick is; I'm pretty sure my only games with Quick had over 200 pages each

Oh come on, are you really following that accusation of me with THESE responses?

For some reason, gives me town vibes for votato <how does this site still not have a thinking emote? Excuse me what>

slightly town-reading Atarashi for the L-1 fake out interactions, which makes VPB look pretty bad

OK maybe I should stop typing reaction posts and whip up a classic Nauci Listicle

god dang in the time in took me to read 6 pages there's now a page 8

Oh god that means it's been 2 years, not 1, for me as well

We were in that completely infuriating 226 page Large Normal 208 where TwoInAMillion, as vanilla town, single handedly won the game for scum and put himself at the top of my NEVER-AGAIN player list

Technically we were in Newbie 1863 together but only in that you replaced brassherald who replaced me

I do when I'm in catch-up mode!

Speaking of which, give me 20-30 minutes now to put together my list so I can get to some live interactions afterwards

My recall is bad. I remember the username and something about.... Oh... Yeah I remember that game. I kept saying Nero is Scum I think without knowing anything. I am WAY more emotionally balanced now. Therapy helps.

Hmmm, looking at the post game for 208 I see very little TiaM discussion. Maybe personal bias?

Scumhunting is one of the better ways to deflect attacks off oneself, do you believe Atarashi is the sort of player who panics as scum under the pressure of a couple votes in the first six hours of Day 1 and begins flailing?

I suspect he's tunneling because he feels the argument against him is so outrageous that he actually believes demonstrating that outrage
does
constitute scumhunting.

Or he's scum and he thinks if he complains long enough it will go away, and he can't think of any scummy arguments against town.

Oof, now that's a low blow.

Complaining continously about something is the surest way to make sure it never goes away.
