Out of a pool of Nero,Norwe, Saudade, Fire, Quick, and Popo, Nero is the only one I feel completely confident in taking out of that pool right now.

I’m thinking about Zan’s suggestion that scum are going to be more protective of their roleblocker here. Without considering the rb’s existence I think this is a point where scum would start distancing and maybe even creating false associations with each other. With all the claims now out, scum rb’s only real utility is shutting down any gambit attempts from a JK or if they really want Churros dead before us. I don’t know that scum would be considering the gambit too much to see their roleblocker as useful enough to not bus here, and telling them that you’re looking for any special resistance can help scum set up false associatives with a Townie in the lynch pool.

It probably is a personal problem for me. I tend to see a lot of things as NAI and sometimes go long periods without having any useful progression in my reads.

I’ve been thinking for a while actually about how Norwe fits in with Profii. There was a post where Norwe called out all of Saudade/Profii/Me as being annoyingly minimalistic and it made me wonder if scum would include a partner in that list. He was voting Profii at then time and voted me after. I need to check again to see if he voted Saudade. If he was equally treating all our slots then I can rule out both of those partnerships.

Yeah, I could probably be teamed with Norway as well. I don't think I am ever Scum with FB though.

NorwegianboyEE treated all of Profi, Saudade, and myself in the same way. Before that they were on Profii and asking others to lynch Profii as well iirc, and I don’t think Saudade and I get the same treatment from Norwe if Norwe is scum with Saudade. That's why if scum have a roleblocker then if we lynch that slot we are golden. They have to target whichever of us is coming up with our power next night and they might miss because the one of us currently using our power could disrupt it. Especially for a night like tonight. If they have no rb because they never had one (townsided design) or we lynch it, then tonight you could protect me and they couldn't NK and tomorrow I could protect you so they couldn't NK you. And them knowing that means they might just target someone else, and us knowing that means we could also target someone else to disrupt that kill. It becomes WIFOM hell for them with the chance that we disrupt.

I'm going to have to chew on this for a while. I tend to think that scum is super sophisticated and will treat scum and town equally but maybe sometimes they don't.

You’re probably right. Why are you considering a world in which scum never had a roleblocker? Isn’t it confirmed they do at this point?
