Thank you Firebringer. That was very helpful. In post 3224, Firebringer wrote:@zantetsu i got some final words for u for this game:
I get u in the sense ive been u before, putting in so much effort in the game then seeing everyone around me lazily seem like they do nothing to addd anything of value in the game. Its annoying and frustrating when you want to win and play a fun engaging game where everyone is on ur level mentality/effort. But you should know that when the dust clears ur going to have more games like this. U can't change other players so unless u don't want this to repeat itself in future games, which it will if u don't do something. You have a few choices:
(1) find a dedicated trusted group of players who will play on your level of effort that you can enjoy.
(2) accept other players are gonna play this game differently and enjoy the game for what its worth.
and when i say accept, i mean realize that all u can do is to turn inwards to urself post games and figure out how to improve ur play to overcome the hurdles that other players throw at u. you can improve upon the loses even though they suck and don't feel like they should have been. But every lose comes with a lesson if you are willing to accept that maybe you have somewhere u could be better at.
Thats it.
best of luck to u.

You also need to argue for lynching your scumreads in the right way. And make sure you don’t get lynched yourself. I’ve often seen town have perfect reads, but get lynched because they are being overly annoying and making town hate them. That’s why i said Popopo just wasn’t charismatic enough.- Zantetsu

The hardest part for me this game was self-doubting over players doing stuff that was so scummy but that they had to be forgiven on. FB buddied Luna in the most impossible way. He claimed scum. Going to my last case on him, I said if you think Nero is scum vote Saudade. He voted Saudade. The proceeded to say he found scum and didn't know who the other 2 were. How am I supposed to read that? If that's not a scum slip what is? If anything town can do that makes no sense just has to be accepted, how can scum ever be found?
Like I said, town has to play really well to set the bar high so that scum can't hide easily, they have to play well too. Well that didn't happen in this game to any degree whatsoever.
Taking some personal blame, I was too scared to vote my conscience a few times and as a result voted where I really didn't want to. Not sure it would have made that much difference because D3 I was totally wrong anyway with Quick/Popop/FB as my three top. But really the entire game I kept saying to myself, Norwegian is scum no way he plays like this as town. And I just didn't follow through.
How could I have known that though? Someone please show me where it was so obvious that all of the other town players put him as their top scum read and wagoned him.
Anyway, gg again scum, you did what you needed to do to win despite having so many conf town players and such a small pool to hide in.- Zantetsu

Don't do that, BJOf all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
