I dont think its a slip, but it shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the game that i dont think is legit, especially after seeing that they have already played a game, as a replacement yes, but a game none the less, and to say that Vota brought you here but didnt explain anything is whoa levels of not believing you.

My brother had to explain the game to me 3 times over the space of 2 weeks for me to get what was going on before I gave it a try.

To think that you have no knowledge of the game and how its played is not a thing im going to believe in.

Votato doesn't need my defending, he's a big boy. He's smart, sharp and articulate. His insights are spot on and I trust him implicitly both here and irl. I don't know for sure what Votato role is, but he's pro-town in my mind in all his posts.

Sorry, I've got some upcoming tests so been pretty busy. I think FormerFish is town, maybe I'm too trusting like Gibus said, but his gambit post explains his behavior pretty well and doesn't feel beneficial for scum to attract so much attention early like he did. Don't really buy into the bussing critique either, seems like just Fish being equally Fish-esque with everyone. I still want to see more of his post-pivot actions to decide how organic this feels though.
Lilith I also think is town, she's been helpful with her questions and advice. A couple people suspect her based on feels but I asked for people to explain in depth and no one did. Ironcat's arguments against her about opportunity voting and bussing feels like him being his paranoid self more than anything, like I could see things that way but it also feels like he's doing the 'jumping at shadows' thing he accused Lilith of doing. Same idea with Fish, not super certain on my town evaluation, I want to see how she behaves now that Ironcat, their biggest critic, is gone.
I don't really have any strong thoughts on who's mafia atm except perhaps CopyKat, so I'm mainly trying to do the process of elimination by townreads thing several other people are doing. I wanted to reread the archives to give more specific points to back these ideas up but haven't got time yet.

@gibus I think I explained pretty thoroughly my point about how votato’s reads on fish and osuka changed when they started pushing freddie. I’d like you to respond to that because you claimed I said that out of confbias and that my timeline of events wasn’t accurate.

It looked like confbias at that point of time (Scumreading votato for not being motivated to scumreading votato for townreading Fred). But I was wrong.
Anyway, his transition from "possible scum but prolly newbtown (on ironcat)" to "possible scum (on osuka)" looked like a transition made based on the player changing in the slot and not based on the push on Fred. Maybe the push on Fred strengthened votato's read, but the transition wasn't solely because of Fred IMO.

I like your analysis on Fred's slot. You have not gone the extra mile to say he was coached to claim VT.

My point is that the theory assumes a scum partner to have coached Fred into making an unnecessary move, which is an unnecessary move as scum. Who does "the people" refer to?

I also find it weird that in the early stages of the game, FF says Copy's predecessor was statistically more probable to be scum, but still eliminates him in his PoE.

There were differences. I townread feathers (your predecessor) and then townread your open mindedness towards scumhunting. FF ignored the possibility that Copy could be scum even though his reads were inconsistent like brassherald's, and had a bad post history. I found FF's early game suspicious too. I can't townread him yet without some information which won't be revealed anytime soon.
He was the backbone for wave's lynch, I agree, but that does not imply that he is town in any way.

Fred is a confused newbie, and I'm not surprised to see bad play coming from them. I am a newbie and I had the urge to make very questionable moves in my last game (as VT). I do not feel like Fred claiming VT for towncred is scummy. It can come from newbtown who wanted towncred seeing no other way of defending themselves. If Fred flips scum, then I'm inclined towards the possibility that FF is the partner. If Fred flips town, it does not imply that votato is scum, because votato formed his opinion based on a meta-read (they know each other IRL too).
