Strange that you assume that if he's read about traitors, he'd know about normal guidelines or how common traitors are, which are two entirely different topics. In post 248, UnaBombaH wrote:
Exactly the opposite IMO!In post 227, Hiraki wrote:the traitor stuff is really dumb and just proves the Gypyx is probably a newbie after all who read the wiki to make himself smarter
Had he read about traitors, he wouldn't just ask "how common they are". He would know the roles normal guidelines and that's all that matters.Hectic- Hiraki

That is how the Mafiascum-wiki is built. In post 334, renaissance wrote:Strange that you assume that if he's read about traitors, he'd know about normal guidelines or how common traitors are, which are two entirely different topics.
Every role has a very visible and obvious section for "Normal guidelines".
So yea, I think it would be a fair assumption if someone goes to the wiki to learn something for a Normal game, that they'd also check the "normal guidelines" for it.
The rarity of it all is a different thing - hence why I asked him why he thought it was a valid question to ask how common they are.
He could've just as well moved straight to his actual post in:
The first post to mention a Traitor is always the one that starts the discussion and sort of "allows" everyone else to use the word with a non-scummy context. In post 161, Gypyx wrote:

How? It's the definition of scum hunting. If Gypx has never played with traitors before or gives an unreasonable explanation for where he's heard of them, that is scummy. If he's played with one before, his paranoia is a lot more plausible and that is towny. In post 333, UnaBombaH wrote:

And this is the trademarked, "conf scum post, post"In post 157, Gypyx wrote:also question, are mafia traitors common in mini normals? In post 190, Gypyx wrote:In post 163, Emperor flippyNips wrote:In post 161, Gypyx wrote:

It’s not my fault them buddying up on page 2 or 3 looked bad to me
Sorry I think you don't get my point, what i'm saying is that this post really feels like you're a mafia traitor trying to reveal yourself to your team, and i may be overthinking this, but the punctuation is really weird too, like, each dot represting a mafia member and the dot next to a question mark represting the unknown mafia member (traitor therefore) makes a lot of sense to me
(I hope this answers the questions other guys had about that)
So, you got a noob asking about how likely a traitor is, then speculation about it. Not really that sure if fishing for the traitor, more trying traitor hunt on the assumption that there is oneafter a wank.- CooLDoG

read the game thread dude. HE said he read through the wiki. THe wiki gives the impression that traitors are as common as docs, cops, roleblockers, and godfathers. In post 339, renaissance wrote:

Notepad test failed. I still don't like Gypyx's traitor spec and I'm not sold on Gypyx town but I'm also wavering in my read because I remembered things in orders that they did not happen. In post 328, AGar wrote:Aw fuck, coffee drank and now I need to bust out the notepad. Yeah with your "scumhunting" style, I'm not gonna really buy into your hype. This looks a lot like trying to start up a bus.In post 283, gobbledygook wrote:It’s curious to me that you’re on Gypyx when I think there’s a much better reason to be on Espeonage.
K but you're not. You're harping on exactly one post from the very beginning of the game. There's actually better reasons to go at CoolDog if you want to actually engage (Post #105, for example. Or #233. #325. I'll stop doig this for you now, your turn). I still don't see CD as scum, but that's because he's firmly in "Oh you're that kind of idiot" territory for me. CoolDog is why god invented vigs.In post 286, PranaDevil wrote:

Espe is Scum based on a tell where they are recreating a systematic way to play as Scum. I'd dig for the game, but I don't feel like it right now... It was a LONG time ago.
Wow, how clever. It's almost like you don't understand the difference between objectivities and subjectivities! Let's just go with you're being obtuse intentionally and move on because I don't really feel like explaining objective vs. subjective to you.In post 329, CooLDoG wrote:hopefully its better than, "you don't like town hunting, therefore you don't know what town hunting is"
k but nah. You don't run this town, you just get in line.In post 338, CooLDoG wrote:if a traitor flips, we are power lynching gyphix period.

I see. I think it's more likely he's actually a paranoid townie talking about some new role he's read up about rather than a traitor who crumbs in a very obvious and conspicuous manner. Surely there's far better ways to crumb traitor rather than just talking openly about traitors.
@Umbreon: You're right about the wiki layout, but why do you think knowing traitors are normal is the same thing as knowing "how common they are"? Something might be normal, but that doesn't tell you how often they're included by mods.Hectic- AGar
