Only think? Fuck, has my reputation stopped preceding me? If I was scum, we'd have a dead scumbag like two days ago.In post 565, gobbledygook wrote:I fully think that both you and Agar are fully capable of handling a town after powerbussing.
@Scumfuck McTurkey
Why aren't you pushing for any support on your UnabombaH wagon? Since your vote, you've: Addressed Una once, speculated on Hoopla, made useless comments four times, asked other players their thoughts on Una once, gone back and forth with me ~4 times, defended yourself from notscience in a 4 post back-and-forth, and voted BattleMage. This is all after you've said that "not advancing a town wincon is advancing a scum wincon." You basically made an RVS vote in 607.
@All
Take a serious look at this scummy bird. Scumfuck McTurkey is trying to hoodwink everyone with shit like "My scumhunting is unorthodox" and contradictory play compared to the standard they hold other players to (voting Una for not seriously trying to advance their preferred wagon while doing not a goddamn thing to push forward the wagon themselves). Calling people out for "voting their weaker scumread" but then handwaving away that when they're doing it, it's just using that other scumread as ammo for their stronger scumread.Like, I'm starting to think that because they're a much-adored thanksgiving meal, they could
shoot someone on 5th avenue
claim scum in bold letters and y'all would let 'em get away with it.I also backed off because some of my other reasoning was based on a theory that turned out to be false. I felt gypyx, outside of the traitor spec, was simply regurgitating ideas previously posted and presenting them as his own, but the specifics I remembered were misordered - he usually presented his ideas before anyone else had when I re-read. I don't find it to be entirely town-aligned, but it's not as damning as what I had perceived. In post 624, notscience wrote:A few people (namely me and agar) think there is as no reason a new person brings it up out of the blue unless they are scum with a traitor or the traitor
But lynching someone bc they might be a traitor is kinda a witch hunt
Ski mask? Check! Sawed off? Check! Guilty conscience, fear of death? Check! Check! Check!
Get to know me. Or don't. I won't tell you what to do. I'm not God. Or your father. Or your boss.

Man now I need to remember the last time someone brought up a traitor in a game if they were town or scum.In post 624, notscience wrote:A few people (namely me and agar) think there is as no reason a new person brings it up out of the blue unless they are scum with a traitor or the traitor

Sarcasm is just a way of saying how stupid you think someone is but in a more polite way.

That didn't work, the player in question claimed he was traitor so I don't remember one recently where someone accused a player of being a traitor.
I'll be continuing my reading tomorrow. Hopefully get through a few pages at a time and interact with people, see if that helps me out this game.

So, guess I'll have to unvote renaissance for that replacement.
UNVOTE:
What gives me hope is that both replacements so far have had multiple points that matched with some of my earlier reads.
What's a bit worse is that I really thought renaissance was scum, and therefore farside is scum AND THEREFORE my early reads would've matched those of a scumplayer faking.. Oh well.
VOTE: gobbledygook
I was trying to decide between the two of them anyway, so I guess it sort of solve itself in the end.
I also love it that AGar called gobbledy out for the exact same shit that they originally started "scumreading" me for.
And even then, a lazy wagon is formed.

I have always been taught to respect my elders, but an early join date in itself clearly brings no wisdom.
Hoopla voting me based on intuition at this point is silly, and mind you - my take on his "towngroup" so far has been that Hoopla is just misguided town, and the scumsters are the ones enjoying the free buffet.

If farside and BM make good catchups, there may still be hope for a solid D1-lynch.

I'm going to be around fairly little in the next ~24h, because tuesday is always a D&D-day, and it's also been busy at work.
Meaning that I can't prep for my session at work AND read MafiaScum both.
That's a busy day on todays standards..

I agree with this. Bringing up a traitor is mildly scummy, definitely not a towntell as some are inferring...In post 624, notscience wrote:A few people (namely me and agar) think there is as no reason a new person brings it up out of the blue unless they are scum with a traitor or the traitor

I'm pretty willing to believe you're town at this point - identical vibes to our last game together. Just an honest guy, doin' the Lord's work.

How do you vote someone only to immediatly unvote them the next post? especially considering that you also had different scum leans at the time of that post
I mean I voted you at one point but I realized something as soon as I got done posting that I’d rather not go into. Shit happens, I’m allowed to change my mind
what made you choose not to go in my wagon?
yes you're allowed to change your mind, but peoples don't usually change thier mind that violently in less than 5 minutes

and battle mage, i've already explained why I'm cautious of traitors in post 378 and I was not
so, can we avoid going through another 5 pages of traitor spec?
specifically
hunting traitors you know, I consider it as a scumread like the others and therefore I bring it upso, can we avoid going through another 5 pages of traitor spec?

Oh I agree fully. I'm more meaning I don't have enough of a read on people to actively be against their lynch on day one. Any lynch is preferable to a no lynch after all. Day 1 the only person I really know about is me. So any option that isn't me is better. As we move forwards I can see reads and start pushing things more often. In post 518, UnaBombaH wrote:I honestly dislike it when people seem to say "lynch whoever D1 and we get flips and the game starts", but I can also really understand this PoV.In post 504, PranaDevil wrote:Mate... day one the only lynch I'm adamantly against is my own.
Often it ends up being very hard to feel good about any one lynch over the rest D1, but we all know we need to make one too.
I'd still argue that the best thing anyone and everyone CAN do is just start raising discussion about anyone and everyone.
At least that way we have the most to analyze later.
Yeah... motivation right now isn't high.In post 635, Hiraki wrote:literally nothing happened in the last 5 pages
I'm still happy with Flippy, Hoopla or the Turkey at this stage.
