I kind of want to Gambit this game

I want to Lynch Anthony and if he flips scum it basically confirms herald. I don't think he would bus him what that read scum

If Anthony flips town we lynch herald no matter what.

And hope that Poe works

I'm fine with anthony. It would kill an inactive slot and save the mod a replacement anyway.

Also heralds whining about pushing a boulder up a hill don't do much for me town reading him any better. The whole issue was that he doesn't seem to want to try and further the game, and his response is to get really defensive and complain about how people see him rather than engage further with the remaining player pool in a way that shows the deductive process being used.

The mahor thing I dont like is how flip floppy his reads are

. He went from saying that Anthony was scum to town reading him when the three of us had our votes him. He's soing the same thing with brass now, after stating he finds him scummy but pointing out thimfs he thinks are townie but is still willing to lynch him. Seems mayne to absolve himself of being wrong. If town looter is scum I will suspect the Anthony slot strongly. I'm honestly okay with lynching randomly in the pool of the 4 people. We have a 50% chance of being right and honest day phase it will make the odds even stronger. The wagon info will be useful. It will be useful to see who distances themselves from each other or fights to defend another. I don't scum read nas though I think brass town or Anthony are my favorite options.

Sure I acknowledge flipping and flopping can be a scum-tell - but it can also be someone trying to step back and objectively look at a situation without bias.

• Anthony's post that everyone seems to have an issue with could equally be a newbie post - I really don't think there is a lot of alignment indications in it (although I recognise my inexperience may be causing me to misread this). My initial scum read on him was purely based on POE (scum on Arthur wagon). If Brass flips green then Anthony will be back in the scum bucket.

Flip in and of itself isn't a scum tell. It just felt wierd on the anthony lynch to me is all. Sorry for the shorter posts, I am at work now. I've reas what you said though and have considered. I dont know if you would be the best lynch today.

You guys could in 2008, but I don't know that's always the case. I am sure I read a scum PT when I was doing some meta analysis in the last game where the mod wouldn't allow multitasking.

I can give you some reads if you really want, but it seems like I had been filed into the scum pile purely for not posting when I was VLA and also not posting during a low content Day 1.

I refuse to waste my own time, and from what I can see "active lurking" aka, not being on the site 24/7 or most weekends, has gotten me a scum read I'm not going to shake with any posts, so why bother?

Yeah, you guys were ready to lynch me without posting, so, clearly I should waste my time and effort actually working in this thread, that makes sense for me and my time management.

I have consistently held that my time is valuable and people consistently call me a jackass for not being willing to waste time.

So lynch me, deal with the green flip and move on. I'm not going to be apologetic for when Day 1 ended like just 3 days in, and Day 2 I've been labelled scum without any avenue to convince otherwise. Then, what? You want me to apologize for valuing my own time? If I don't, sure as hell no one else will.

I've been down this shitty road before, I'll make posts, people will say my reads are all generic and I didn't do enough to invent the wheel.

I messed up by not expecting Day 1 to end a week early and I know the point where the reads of me are at. I cannot change anyone's mind at this point and anything short of finding the entire scum team with a guilty will just all lead to everyone lynching me and never reading my posts again because "I didn't add anything of value"

I didn't have my moment of clarity Day 1 that I sometimes get at the end of the day, so, now I'm a top scum read.

Am I the only one getting town pings from these posts? It's pretty anti-scum for scum!brass to have a

"don't care what others think, don't care if I'm liked, lynch me with surface level reads if you wanna"

attitude when there is an air of scum sided pessimism flowing in the thread. Ideally I think scum!brass would have thrown away the scumreads on him by focussing on the V/LA part and give town what it wanted by probably making strong cases to carry out a mislynch (not crap like 325), which I think he would have no trouble doing given that he's one of the most experienced players this game. I don't want to put my vote here, at least for today.

Brass, in response to post 325, don't you agree with my TStBS case? I agree that "just not posting" is anti-town, but in the case of newbies it really doesn't mean much. I can show you loads of town newbies doing that. I'm pretty confident that both scum are in {Town Looter, Anthony} and I want you and the conftowns to review this. Personally, I think TL is the better choice, but I'll wait for Anthony's replacement to show up. I'd like to hear votato's thoughts as well.

I skimmed through the pages and realised that post 27 wasn't perceived well.

is the mafia, and any sane player would know this. To think that scum!Vexo typed that down and didn't feel even a tiny urge to scrutinise is a stretch, don't you think? I know for a fact that this slot is town and I can assure you that this is an authentic

. Normally I wouldn't adopt a defensive tone like this, but we will lose both of our PRs with no extra information if we carry out a mislynch (assuming no CCs - A1).

Obviously the best move for scum at the moment would be to join the Nash wagon, and I'm confident that there's scum in {Town Looter, brassherald, ArthurConyl}.
Based on vote progression alone, I'll go for Town Looter for now. I can spot a scum agenda there.

You seem to be trying to turn what in my mind is a scummy post into a "scum wouldn't make that mistake"/WIFOM kind of situation. I think the simplest solution is the right one here: A scummy post was made, because the poster is scum. Vexo is new to forum Mafia, so if the slot was town I don't think you would make the argument you have, I think you would just write it off to a nervous newbie being a nervous newbie.

You got it wrong. TStBS is a valid town point, especially for newbies. I've made myself clear that I'm being defensive since we can't afford another mislynch. More mechanical information is essential for us to win this, and we can't have that if we shoot in the dark. We can, however, reduce the sample space and increase our chances of lynching scum today. I like how you throw shade at me for doing this.
