What's the town benefit to claiming what setup our role comes from?

This post is scummy because he clearly hasn't thought about the benefits for town of claiming which setup the role comes from - it's not natural for him - his actual thought here is about which fakeclaim he wants to make and which setup to fake-claim out of.

claiming setups seems bad as it can out players as being obviously vanilla

this post is one dimensional - it only tackles the issue from one side - if a scum player claims a setup he's not in - he could be trapped by a counter-claim or trapped by his lack of ability to claim a role when he wants to.

Pooky's posting in this game reminds me of Coalition when I was scum with him, especially when he was fighting with Koba except now instead of Koba it's Datisi. So I'm feeling good about my vote placement rn.

Aldus does this as scum - he plays pretty lazy - tunnels on a person, makes up lazy bs reasons to keep his vote on the person - notice how in the first hours of the game he's throwing shade at me for not posting, and now he's throwing shade at me for fighting and posting.
