You're claiming "Vanilla Townie"?

When Dunnstral wants to, he can have a formidable scum game, so it's very incorrect to scumread him because he's trying less or is lazier in this game.

I'm well aware of that.

That's not why.

Now put him back at L-1 so Battle Mage can hammer the scum, please and thank you.

Frig.

Now I have to decide if you actually checked or just looked at the example Role PM in the ruleset. :igmeou:

The reasoning is reasonable. The static stance and no new reads that BM pointed out is a good reason. Your one is fine too.
(If you're my bud, Dunn, say "red alert" and I'll try and get you out of this. Otherwise, I'm taking the mislaunch here, m8)

I'll read through redrock/Nosferatu to see if I find them scummier.

Blair is kinda scummy this game too btw. She seems a little annoyed in that way that scum sometimes do because they rolled scum, or are faking it because they feel the need to. The overreaction to Dunn "rolling scum" early on really pinged me too.

Oh, we have a day and 22 hours. Makes more sense why Dunn claimed and you're all looking for a launch right now.

I scumlean Noseferatu's play, but townread him off of meta. In his last game, he was mafia, and had plenty of reads upon entering the game. The fact he doesn't feel obliged to provide them here is probably town-indicative. Wait, that was 2 years ago actually, so doesn't count for
that
much, but it's something.

Bless your heart. If you only knew!

There is a rich history behind that "overreaction."

tl;dr:

Dunnstral has rolled scum in virtually every game we've played together - Noughts & Crosses was a rare exception (because I was the scum instead - another rare exception!)

Honestly, I get the feeling Dunnstral is one of those sickos that favours scum over town. Why else would he rep into so many slots?

Can we get confirmation on that, Dunn?

I ISOed rerock and I think he's fine like I did before.

The only other option is midwaybear... NO, I refuse. You can't make me read through those wall wars no matter what you do. I guess this is why they work for scum; no one can be asked to actually read through and analyse them.

Looking through their ISO, Launchy is surprisingly nullscum. They've taken some easy stances on calling BM and specific posts of his town. Wanting to be asked questions I want to give town points for, but there's few stances in there. I'm gonna do a quick meta check to see if they're normally like this early on.

Aaand looking through the Revelations game, I can see they're a lot more inquisitive and have more analysis in there. Oh wow, and then I actually check the OP and they were mafia in that game lol. I guess I should be townreading them for said reasons then?

Hang on a minute here... Launchy was town in that game, and they were just "mafia" for flavour reasons or something. Also, the mod was picking the kills lul. I heard about this actually, people must've loved that when it was revealed.

OK, conclusion is that I don't have anything better than Dunnstral.

Launchy and Blair are slight suspects. I like them both, so I'm excited at the prospect of being scum with either!

Posting as I read each page and have thoughts
In post 297, Battle Mage wrote:
I don't agree with Blair's previous vote on you, but she did give an interesting and plausible rationale.

I think the answer to the above perceived discrepancy is that this Dunn wagon isn't simply about "pressure".

You should join the Dunn wagon with me.
Her rationale came
only
after everyone else's did. She did post the suspicion first, then sat back and let everyone else do the work, and then swooped in with rationale so she can take the credit for "leading the wagon" when all she actually did was post a FoS with no rationale.

That's possible, and isn't quite a contradiction, but I did find it amusing and I do think she needs to elaborate a bit if she's got a case

Maybe

OK, I see Blair has explained further.

I'd prefer if she explained from the start. I don't think it's out of left field to think that if you're quoting a post that just says "townblock assemble" as the explanation, to think that a you're building a wagon to build a wagon (i.e. pressure). Overall these "make the read/push first, explain later" is what's making your posts read as scum to me.

I'm feeling better about a launch of Dunn today as I'm reading (not completely caught up yet)
