UNVOTE:
hellbooks dedicates a full post to discouraging a scum-threatening townblock from developing around hayasaka in a setup where she can't be killed before getting a chance to mention it.In post 148, hellbooks wrote:should clarify that i dont think hayasaka is town tho

VOTE: Chemical Elements
I agree with Chemical Elements' contributions being specifically not what's needed, and a promise of a postflip theory on villager to be presented postflip is a particularly bad look.
I agree with Hiraki that 23 and 31 are NAI and I would post them as scum, the good they do is maybe improving how we approach the setup, not revealing my alignment. Early as possible is the best time to make that type of post because it's pretty hard to make posts that reveal your alignment anyway, if you save it for later it's kind of an interruption on solving that matters a lot more."Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"
"Well, I..."
"What? Nothing? You would make the prince suffer over... nothing?"- Isis

I wanted a quota of three votes but I'm not there yet.
It's not that lots of people are town to me, actually, but null to me.
Normally I'd find Lavender's slow acclimation to the game good enough for a vote in a setup that encourages pacing this much, since acclimation is harder for scum imo, but I've played with her before and she just kind of is always slow on sea legs."Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. btw it's kind of weird you didn't have an inital opinion of innocent villager in your first readslist post (putting him in the who category)
feel like he was a big and clearly polarizing presence
then at the end you kind of hedge it anyway so hmmm idk. i mean i'm an expert hedger too dw- hellbooks

i dont understand this whole house thing at all but it is very funny and very good. hiraki describing it as weird hipster comparisons is also goodIn post 182, Casey wrote:The house is red.

agree its a good thing to watch out for people who are attempting to "halt the discourse" (see: chem elem)In post 202, Isis wrote:Normally I'd find Lavender's slow acclimation to the game good enough for a vote in a setup that encourages pacing this much, since acclimation is harder for scum imo, but I've played with her before and she just kind of is always slow on sea legs.

@hellbrooks: Nothing innocentvillager did stood out at all in my initial read. Had to go back through the ISO to get a read.
@Hikari: You say let's go deeper but you still only do a surface-level read. I think you're speaking a foreign language at times. By going deeper I mean reading beyond the words and delving into the author's intent, consistency, and mindset. Don't look at the words, feel the emotional energy that resonates from them. That's what I do.- Casey

yea im a bit conflicted abt it. seems like it could be a genuinely town thing or a lamist thingIn post 211, Casey wrote:Hiraki: "Isis would do 23 and 31 that as scum."

I didn't like dedicating a post to that either, but this post feels like a bit of a stretch to me on what is happening. In post 201, Isis wrote:hellbooks dedicates a full post to discouraging a scum-threatening townblock from developing around hayasaka in a setup where she can't be killed before getting a chance to mention it.- Hayasaka

Like on one hand I agree why would town feel the need to go back and make that kind of unneccasary clarification, but I don't think it was a measure to prevent me from being town bloc'd. At worse it was scum trying to correct something a reasonable townie would just shrug off and not worry about until later.- Hayasaka

Please don't try and coach me. You're not explaining anything. That's all I said. It's still true. Your "emotions" aren't conveyed very well.In post 213, Casey wrote:@Hikari: You say let's go deeper but you still only do a surface-level read. I think you're speaking a foreign language at times. Agreed but it does not help that I think hellbooks flips scum here.In post 216, Hayasaka wrote:

hayasaka had a bad entrance imo, in particular I can really several points she made early on as coming from scum. 1) the weyouns vote for having a bad read, 2) called shot on nono flip town. Then non commital shade on 216, and using the phrase incredibly townie offhand feels less like an organic locktown situation here.
on weyoun himself i think i'm more null on the slot. I think there's a valid interpretation of him being opportunistic maybe but i'm not really suspicious of anything he's done - hellbooks
