and i think that arguing that you can disappear if you're locktown is kinda silly to help you maintain that status if that's a characteristic of your scumgame

kinda similar to the bodyguard dilemma, i actually don't strongly disagree with the mindset of locktown players keeping their townreads obfuscated / only interfering if they don't like the direction a phase is going in

his scum iso's tend to be flat, devoid of scumhunting, and his posts are more of the nature 'hi i'm still posting i'm still here' than, like, scumhunting. his reads change on a dime as convenient.

in his towngames, in contrast, tend to have a coherent thought process wherein you can see his reads and they follow through from post to post, and his posting tends to further his thoguth process/narrative

does anyone think the bolded describes dsjstr's game here?

What is your definition of fluff then? Because mine is "posts that aren't related to the game."

promises to read the game/catchup are fluffy to me - like I sympathize with being like 70 pages behind when you replace in but you always have the option to engage into the game without prior information and catch up later or reread 5-10 pages at a time and post your thoughts as you re-read in.

also you have a fairly observational style that feels less interested in solving the game. I don't know if this is just your style but it feels like you have a very good grasp of who is who in this game but you don't use this knowledge to push for an outcome you want.

- i mgiht argue that he's exhibiting a fatalistic mindset by repping out in his scumgames (i.e. he doesn't htink he, in that slot, can further the scumwincon, so just leaves). and that volunteering to rep-out is him manifesting the same mindset in a slightly different way

I can understand repping out to further the scumwincon because you think a new person coming in would help the scum-team more - however getting lynched does not help the scum win con.

There is one game where he does self-vote himself out as scum to deny the town information so it's not impossible that he would pull this fatalistic move here.

Skitter is flitting between misrepresentation and absurd mechspec and like she is clearly throwing things at the wall and hoping they stick and I have no idea why she hasn't already been eliminated

I ISO’d him in the towngame you mentioned as well as two of his scumgames, so I think you’re right. I already explained how his Dats’s progression makes little sense.

He makes a lot of sense in that one and his posts don’t hurt my eyes in that game.

I townread Datisi independently of the belief that dsjstr/Datisi isn't ruled out by dsjstr voting Datisi.

However if dsjstr is town then the gamestate is much more likely to be significantly screwed because everyone except him has a decent reason to be town, so that makes Datisi-scum more plausible.

But what I still don’t understand is how your read on me is affected by that, specifically why you think there’s any associatives between him and me?

yeah i think the fatalism is more an aspect of his playstyle than his alignment, you also linked a game where he self-voted as town in lylo

what do u think about my other points (namely, the fact that he doesn't seem to have a consistent underlying throught process motivating his posts, or the fact that you're focusing on what i believe to be a largely meaningless distinction between his town and scumgames)
