I want to talk about the shifts in scumreads when I posted my list; everyone’s attention went to red/alligator which is great, it’s just not normal/expected, you know? The game doesn’t work like that if town are correct on their reads. I need someone to exchange their own reads with me so I can bounce some ideas

Do you feel the gamestate I am talking about? There’s a distinct lack of resistance

Yeah I feel that.
But the game overall feels unusually passive so I think that's kinda messing with things too.

And if scum is like {jackel, redtea, someone else} I'm not sure how much resistance we'd be getting anyways?
That being said, I am feeling like people are trying to shift to redtea over jackel, and while I don't think redtea's posting is great, I'm not sure that I read it as scummy,

whereas I find jackel actively scummy.

On the side of town reads: for some reason catboi seems to be one of the most consistent players. I don't think a single insidious thing about them has stood out to me. Maybe their posts since the "troll-vote mess" appeal to me in a way that allow them to coast like butter on my radar for some reason. Is it just me?
Like, does everyone at least null catboi rn? Though I suppose this isn't an imperative question for today.
I guess this isn't a "strong read", since I'll have to figure out why exactly I read them positively. But I'll put it out there while I'm here.

@Redtea, has Norwee's flip today caused some of this re-evaluation for you yet? What have you found with Norwee's associations that have changed any reads?

I know it’s an unpopular proposition in this game and on mafiascum in general, but flipping a low activity player like porkens who hasn’t been mentionned can actually gives a lot of associative infos.

Porkens was mentionned a few instances in this game by few people, especially when he was being compared to the alligator/red scum pool. I think it would be relatively easy to see all the slots who actively avoided the porkens issue

It's starting to feel very disingenuous. I said earlier that incoherence between in-game posting and game knowledge is scummy, it goes both ways.
For a lazy player, regularly posting yet not engaging the content makes it looks like ''showing up in thread'' is enough to help your wincon and no engagin the content.

Analogy: Almost looks like you are putting off homework you don't want to do because it's not due. For the analogy's sake, it's like you don't care about having good grades (correct reads, good lynches, finding mafia) but are only motivated about not being kicked out of school. If you care about the consequences of engaging the content, you would. If it was an activity issue, you wouldn't show up as much as you do

I apologize for my lack of engagement thus far. When I repped into the game things were just fine, but then my life quickly spun out of control. You can look at my recently completed games if you want to see a big part of it, but there were RL issues as well. My VLA was due to mental health and I needed to self-care ASAP. Finnally picking things up:

Starbuck on Bell: not a lot on radical rat, sh expresses suspicion of D+D for talking about their "flavor crumb" early but it's not too meaningful. some questioning in 702/705, then expresses suspicion of a joke bell made in 761. not sure she'd shade a partner like this at the end of a day. calls bell opportunistic for voting her in 1065 and 1071. The reaction on bell post-flip in 1679 and 1703 is a bit weird, since "I read Bell wrong all this time" doesn't really gel with her previous statements, as far as I can tell she never really outed a read there.

Starbuck on Porkens: Says she doesn't understand the votes on him in 306, does her annoying policy/opportunism complaint to defend porkens in 701 and 730, tries to advance the idea the joey kill was an attempt to frame porkens in 1047, says she needs to "deep dive" him in 1521, which doesn't come until a lot later and after bell was flipped. 1812 compares him to a recent town game of his, which I'm not sure I see. Whole ISO in 1885/1896 is pretty meh, and comes out null on him when it was alread pretty well decided he was going to be the day's elimination.

So from this perspective it's not great, there's a lot of stuff here that

could

be incriminating but could just as well be the product of a townie with a not great read. I think the main difference is in how bell/porkens treated her, and her overall reaction to events feels more townish than not, I buy her frustration at me rushing the hammer yesterday as legitimate. I wouldn't vote her today.

Wasn't going to out this yet, but read the role again. The fruit only gives corruption to town-aligned players.

(I also think Bell didn't target s_s night 1 - I think the last scumteam member gave out a corruption point, since redtea claims to have gotten one last night, and that's what killed s_s. I think bell was trying to fake being townsided with his role, and so wouldn't have been giving out multiple fruits as that'd be self-incriminating)
