if you're town i think i need to understand your thought process on shelly and andres before i can read you correctly. if you have any free time would you mind talking through how you've reached these conclusions?

i kinda find it hard to believe that bell & plusjoyed were at the top of your kill list. until i scumcased plusjoyed maybe. my bad.

I don't like the AtE you keep evoking when it suits you best. you flip flop between lamenting about my poor town play and calling out my partner whether it's bellaphant or plusjoyed or shelly. And the "not consider anybody else?" bit is stale, just like how "hard" i've been pushing for bellaphant town

I townread Andres. I'd be really really interested in seeing a case for scum!andres.

Looks like The Bulge is trying to make that case, which further contributes to me SRing them

to an extent? if you mean I am avoiding appealing to you personally because I don't want emotions affecting the sensitive gamestate one way or the other right now, yes. I have to admit I've also been wary of not looking like I am giving or receiving special consideration because I know you are likely extra paranoid about being pocketed this game as well. I'm pretty happy with my read of you as it stands, and trying to rethink that read would bring with it a whole other realm of reasoning that I just don't particularly have the energy for right now.

I think we are having similar thoughts. I also think notscience is the player that benefited the most from keeping The Bulge around and TK’ing plusJOYED even after they indicated (in the same Day!) that they were Lock Town. And notscience and shellyc have each other as Lock Town it seems (and I don’t know, is notscience heavily pocketing shellyc?). The problem is that all they have to do is wait for The Bulge or I to put a vote down for each other and it’s game over if we’re TvT. Now, I still don’t know how likely it is for The Bulge to have me so wrong in this game, or to never reconsider their read in light of everything that’s happened, as Town. What I do know is that I don’t know how to get away from this 1v1. I just can’t help but feel bad about the fact that both shellyc thinks I’m slimy (apparently since yesterday, though no specifics still), and notscience has me paired with The Bulge, but couldn’t bring themselves to see that one through yesterday.

in a similar vein, I don't like how the worst has come into this day phase posting lots of long posts, not giving the thread enough time to fully parse and react to his posts, and then presenting his findings again almost as fact. like he is trying to leave people in the dust wrt his thought process to advance the narrative of "it can only be bulge/shelly or worst/andre"

Townpasses without good reasoning here are very dangerous. A pocket would definitely lead to a scum win if the pocketed votes with scum

that's why I really need ns to pocket check. It he feels he's indignantly right we've probably lost but so be it; not evaluating bulge is instant loss regardless of their alignments.

I know that, and the worst was there too. that's what I'm saying. I mean with the whole "choose one of these pairings only but also youre definitely a dumbass if you pick this one". it's very catered to a gamestate where you are known to be the kingmaker.

Based on what? Like what creates an expectation that I would not be direct and committal in my SR? Never mind that it’s not true btw, but I’m interested in the answer as to why you would expect me to be completely committed to a SR of your slot.

Also, D1 is a ridiculous re-read. Some of the Town members that have flipped so far had horrible reads hahaha we were all over each other. Nash’s list for example had [IV, Clarity] at the bottom, and me slightly above (379). Bell had NS and me at the bottom, which could still be proven to be accurate but I think it’s a long shot (408).

My own reads D1 were awful. I had {IV, Nash} at the bottom of the pyramid. Interestingly though, my solve is now the exact pyramid flipped upside down, which if you think about it isn’t completely terrible.

I can’t say I’m all that ashamed of my read of Nash. IV is bad. But Nash I’m not surprised at all I read the way I did.
