Nahdia saw that CantLynchAPuppy was having trouble, and they wheeled over to the fallen canine.
"Oh, if you want to be the great hero who rescues everyone, you need a helpful tutorial guide to help you first!"
Nahdia picked up a small, cute frog set it down in front of CantLynchAPuppy. Elements squirmed free of their robotic arms because they were cold and metallic. "Here is your prop." Nahdia said. They handed Elements a blue bladed sword. "Tell CantLynchAPuppy, 'it's dangerous to go alone, take this!'"
Elements turned to CantLynchAPuppy and squeaked in a ribbitting voice. "I'm totally awesome, you should be my squire when I use this thing to be an allstar!"
Then Elements swung the sword through the air a little bit, enjoying the novel experience of having limbs that aren't wings. When CantLynchAPuppy saw the movement and heard the bragging, he became enraged.
"Gimme!" he barked, and leaped onto Elements to tackle him.

uh? i wasn't picking at your explanation, i was trying to get you to develop some non-mech talk, 190 didn't really answer my question? actually, i started this post thinking there was some sort of contradiction here, i guess it's not as strong as i thought, maybe we're just talking past each other? ok, spare catboi because you think his ev mech was genuine

Actually I don't know how bad it is except for the fact it has the possibility of letting chara off. But it does have that

Chara only gets let off if we plan horribly. one miselim and they're gone.

unless

we spare first and then start eliminating. then Chara gets to stay.
which is part of why i advocate for fighting today.

i understand the annoyance surrounding mechanical talk but it's part of playing to wincon. i'm certain Isis had the game properly reviewed and balanced, but they're all still humans. the last game that was run had a white flag situation that was unintentional and nearly cost us the game. this isn't me casting doubts on Isis's capability to mod or design at all, but it is me saying i can't just be okay with an option i feel will both lower our chances of winning

and

be less fun.

ill participate properly when you all decide what strategy we should do. im very much of the opinion that mech talk and EVs are pretty much NAI and using them to justify strategy is gonna let scum persuade us to do what they want more often than not. it seems to me that a fight day 1 and then sparing later days is a good idea, but i really havent thought about it that much

This attitude is really curious. Do you feel any of me, Hectic, or catboi are arguing EVs with scum intent? (ie. to push town into something scum wants)

If you're worried that scum is going to use EVs to persuade the town in a certain direction, essentially recusing yourself from the conversation and leaving it to others to decide without you-and giving the scum voices that much more weight-seems counterproductive imo.

neutral is good, too. we get investigations. even if they're on the mafia's perception of what the least useful slots are, the confirmations will make them sweat.

catboi I don't really scumread you and will probably move my vote soon, I think you can guess at my opinion of some of the last 2/3 pages but we should circle back later imo

Not really. I struggle to get reads early-even replacing into the last Undertale they were slapdash garbage just to get into swing-but tend to have extreme faith in the ones I do get.
