Ugh okay I re-read plusJOYED in our Newbie game, and maybe I’m being too hard on him for having reads that don’t make much sense (from my POV). He had a Scum Read in that game of a slot (Notscience) because he felt they were being too Towny to be Town (they were just Town, and so was plusJOYED). However, they did have all of the Scum in their pool towards the end, and one I had dismissed as firm Town, so there’s that.

Okay specifically I don’t get this read? Like I think these are all things (behaviourally) that scum ydrasse is just as capable of manifesting as town ydrasse, so idg how you’re moving from these into declaring her as like strong town with a strong town mindset

I think on balance she’s slightly town atm for her interrogation of you (like I felt her questions were coming from an uninformed perspective prob when she was trying to understand your trajectory and her re-evaluation was good too) but I don’t see how you’re getting to this level of confidence from what she’s done so far?

I read their scumgame and it's obviously different

Like I think ydrasse is +town as things stand, but not for stuff to do with her tone or having a “generally townie mindset” or whatever the reason was

Like these posts stick out to me. There’s an admission that being Scum is more fun (which squares with posting outside of this game), there’s a lot of comments on how their reads are very much gut based (with some clear posting as to how she intends to find Scum - confidence and apparent self-awareness being up there), and a weird flip on plusJOYED which she was TR previously. Does any of this strike you as Scum? Because I’m not seeing it.

I wanted to poke around with plus since I wanted to get a better grip on the slot

I will agree that shellyc probably plays it different (at least to start). At the same time, there’s certain things players have a hard time shaking so quickly. I won’t reveal everything I saw last game from a re-read that might happen here, but if I spot anything I’ll put it out there.

And yeah, I’m one of those people that think that Scum like to avoid making mistakes or putting themselves in bad spots by posting less. Except when it’s all convoluted or involves a lot of attacking a few specific players which is much easier to hide behind despite posting a lot of content.

@Mena, re Saudade's Kerset logic back around page 8 (two nights ago). Its 168, about 77 specifically, but really about Kerset's ISO through that point. Saudade was prodding Kerset (and, later, me) to actually get involved in the game rather than lol-4-mason fluff, and calling the failure actually to engage scummy. (Yes this is an aside that is long past its time, but its when I got time to actually go back and get the post numbers to explain it).
