MDMA, or ecstasy, was synthesized by German chemists developing medications to stop bleeding. It was tested during the Cold War by the CIA for its possible uses as a psychological weapon. While some medical researchers believed, and some still believe, in its usefulness for depression, PTSD and behavioral issues, it was called the yuppie psychedelic in the 80s as a more mild form of LSD. During the 80s, Ecstasy became associated with rave parties.

i don't remember you ever asking me about reads or anything so not sure what you're expecting from me

also, i never meant to imply that you couldn't have concerns about noddy early on. i meant that i don't believe that your hard scum read of noddy at p6 felt genuine. you've never struck me as the type to be that confident about reads that early, though feel free to point me to a game where you've done something similar

That's because I haven't asked you for reads. I don't expect town you to share them at this point. I expect to see them in your interactions with players. And guess what the big interaction with players is about?

It's been a while because I generally don't get confident reads early that often. This one was more of a concern - see what happens vote than you got from my play. And granted, I don't pressure-vote often. Part of my cycle of going on hiatus and coming back is an effort to get back some of the confidence and aggression that I used to play with before playing here for a couple years and just plain being wrong too often. I wanted notsci to come back and do something clearly AI in a way that I would recognize. This hydra, and maybe GiF hydra are the ones where I'm most likely to exhibit signs of backbone, though. Nacho isn't around enough in the Sangres hydra to poke me when I'm hesitating.

I'll go find that chosen game in a minute. I see a ton of crossposts.

i thought your approach to noddy would have been wariness but not an outright scum read, and probing but not a hard vote based on that (even if votes didn't count that early)

also i think a lot of what makes me think noddy is town came after that but you didn't really react to any of it, instead talking about some dance you were doing with him but not about what he was actually writing

huh? i share reads all the time (although i don't usually talk about exactly how strong or weak a read is). if i hold anything close to my chest, it's usually my reasoning

granted, i've been pretty reserved with giving scum reads in this game but that's not so much a i-don't-want-to-give-them-no-matter-what thing as an i-want-to-see-what-happens-if-i-don't thing and i didn't really care that much outside of thinking it might be interesting to see who agrees with me without me saying anything about it

You share them usually by pushing someone. And it's sort of a one or two reads at a time revealed process, while watching for reactions. You give a broader view of how you're seeing the game later. Much later than a day or two into a game day.

Though there was that Neuroscience game of Kagami's where it seemed like you were trying to find the absolute minimum effort that would push the elim you wanted. That one was as fun to observe as to play.

I haven't looked at alisae much closely yet but tonally reads as town and the catchup was fine
