the Puppy vote is also where my interest is re: Tanner and i don't think Tanner has discussed it in response to prompting yet, though i could be wrong.

the only thing that's genuinely bugging me at this point (since i'm gonna pretend i trust hectic's read there for the time being) is why *didn't* scum try to get lhf!town!lavender? especially since if Not Chara were to hardpush her through, they could do so without consequence. like, from my pov, the only two people to ever actually vote there were two town. was hectic really that convincing with that read?

i don't have a satisfying answer to this. i am instead quoting this post for further study postgame once all alignments are known, because i think it's interesting and maybe, finally, i could learn something about mafia theory.

i'm pointing it out because i did correctly call scum out like that once - a lurker-lhf slot that i was calling out day one, but nobody listened to me except 1-2 very towny players. we ended up kinda deadline-consolidating on executing a different scum. on day two, i pushed the lurker-lhf slot through because "if we were on-course to execute scum on day one, why didn't scum bother to jump on this lhf!townie and make me look bad tomorrow?" got a scumflip on day two as well.

the only difference i think is that... well, there wasn't a hectic in that game who was defending them. which is what's giving me pause, since scum could've been afraid of him. which is why i'm still debating with myself about actually pushing lavender through, especially since i'd be signing my own death warrant if they flipped green, and i don't fancy us getting two green flips for the price of one, because of my own reads no less.

i read through 1341 while following 610, and damn. realizing how surface-level most of my reads are this game. "scum!pooky is good at pushing misexecutes, we probably don't get a scumflip on day one." 521 and 543 are kinda weird to be s/s i guess?

And maybe with a bit more time I can actually lock Pooky/Tanner as town

scum *wouldn't* bus day 1, it's stilly. the odds of a scum win after bussing day 1 are super low because the chara is basically still self-cleaning.

w/e, nobody wants to go for spare and im not going to break out the math that i think proves it's better in this one specific case, but im still going to use day 1's vote to start clearing slots. that's definitely chara and one of pooky/mt/prism (maybe mt?). also i had hectic as scum-lean before and even today i think but maybe i need to re-eval because he was on elements all day too

I'm also kind of on board with Hectic here in that part of me wants to AFK until we get a replacement...but even then I doubt they're going to talk their way out of it. Every single other slot has a better Day 1 case except maybe Lavender.

Considering my two biggest townreads+Hectic who is also likely town sat on this for what feels like forever at this point, with no other votes until just now by Tayl0r, this really does have a solid chance.

Tayl0r/Sujimichi made sense for awhile. I was willing to vote this for awhile. But now this feels wrong. Me, Lavender, and Tanner are the only plausible partners left for them.

I think the worst part is that me going to bat this hard for the Sujimichi slot means we might just have to flip it regardless.

I feel really comfortable with Hectic atm, and have just kind of slotted Puppy as town for the Elements interactions. It didn't read SvS to me.

765, giving the slot a chance w/ a new player, is the only problem, and they joined me on Hectic. This is really consistent with 692, and they jump back to beeboy eventually.

This makes so much sense if Tayl0r is the Chara. Their entire push on Chara doesn't seem like they actually read the slot at all. Tayl0r says Puppy is their top SR, then never really pushes it while they flop over to catboi and then Chara. They're too sure that me/catboi are town. I don't like this.

Chara's side of the interactions are pretty decent, but then there's 882. Tayl0r suddenly being the closest thing to a scumread is extremely out of left field. I don't like the justification for Tayl0r +town they give in 1017

The only question here is: Why not push Lavender?

803 and 817 does give some background to the Taylor "closest thing to a scumread" line. I didn't find this that implausible to fake at first glance but it does provide background. But there's still their pings on Puppy, the pings on Elements very early, and they've already started taking a look at redtea.

948 explains that they're mostly reverting to the Elements read/not seeing anything town from beeboy as reasons for the vote....but the vote in 906 was very presence/content-oriented.
