I actually feel like I’m arguing the opposite of this, that I feel that others are putting too much stock into who is townie for sure. I feel like I’ve admitted multiple times I could be wrong even, and I’m not pushing Morph for a fade, so the scum side of it all making sense if they do flip green goes away too.

It might help if you think of me as Tammy-lite. When I'm town, I get highly offended when someone who displays enough expertise at the game that I think they should be able to see what I'm doing in the game scumreads me. Someone who does so with the focus you've taken, when it looks like any reaction to your posts will be scumread, winds up discrediting themselves in my eyes. And then my task is to wipe away all the annoyance (and take enough time that I can actually do that), and then do my job: look at their stances and trajectories as a whole, meta them, read their tone, confirm my impression of the level of their expertise, and read them.

The read is actually more important to me in some ways than what I do with it - e.g., when I vote, when I unvote.

When I'm scum, probably the most telling thing I don't do is take offense at being scumread. I really need to work on that.

You've also explained in detail why every interaction we've had today comes from my hypothetical scum agenda. Doing that makes it beyond unpleasant to talk to you.
