I wasn't suggesting any defenses are being mounted anywhere. It was a general question to get people thinking about what the situation is for scum if those two are scum (since they're rather likely to be gone today).

So "what would the other two be doing here, if that's pretty much a foregone conclusion?" is the question.

There are two obvious answers here that I can think of. a. they're apathetic and have basically given up apart from keeping up appearances, or b. they're going to turbo bus despite the risks associated with doing that.

I ran into this rereading. Do you have new ideas as to the scum situation or mindset, given it was 1 scum/1 town?

I'm somewhat busy at the moment, but I was thinking about that earlier, both in regards to how D1 played out and today.

I think scum wanted Shielder gone first (just to give breathing room). I think the Archer wagon came basically out of nowhere and _may_ have been entirely town-driven. I remember thinking it came hard and fast, but haven't had time to go back and check the exact timing of it. I don't think this means that scum were piling on Shielder before that, just that they weren't actively pushing anything counter to the Shielder-dies-first-today narrative that was floating around before the Archer wagon popped up. Archer probably wasn't long for the game but they also probably weren't turbo-busing him. The Archer wagon happening as fast as it did (if I'm remembering it correctly) probably somewhat surprised them. (Just stuff I've been pondering without going back and checking the finer details yet.)

As far as today goes, I'm more concerned with figuring out if I'm going wrong somewhere before I try to figure out what scum might be doing. There's a fairly large group of players that most people seem to agree is town. If they are all town, scum need to undermine that somehow but that may not be happening today. (Not making any real conclusions about what I think they're doing until I have some real time to sit down and read. This should be the last day I'm particularly busy for a while though so hopefully soon.)

My guess is that shielder was weird scum (but actually town), while Archer was boring scum. He didn't stand out as much. He did not express bizarre opinions.

I want those 4 to answer my question. I'm not truly satisfied with this day. Some of my reads improved and I'm quite confident in some of them. But I never really got a good grip on which of the remaining players are scum. It's just not as cool when I PoE scum especially when that PoE gets derailed because we miss and accidentally eliminate town so people start going off in odd directions.

I am doing my best with the cards I am dealt. Town is pretty unified against most of my top choices. All my energy level really permits is just highlighting their scummy behavior. My path is set. So is the rest of the town's. If I get mislynched, I get mislynched. Just don't accuse me of not trying or it being my fault exclusively. You bear some responsibility for my mislynch when I told you who the scum were.
