The thing is, I'm not sure i WANT that slot to be able to act, regardless. So if they're town, we saved ourselves from two players who couldn't be bothered to catch up OR even ask for the entire role PM, but somehow should be trusted to get a vig shot with even higher than average negative utility.

Beeboy apparently has played so little that he didn't even bother asking his hydra partner for the full role PM (Which is borderline angle-shootily illegal by the by, but not gonna push that) and Maria isn't really keeping up with the thread. Do you REALLY want a slot of those two being trusted with an elim entirely of their own choosing.... when they themselves have claimed apathy/lack of effort?

i mean the obvious answer is that there are very few (if any) roles they can claim that guarantee they make it to endgame

though i'll take it you mean more "why claim a role we'll likely force them to use D2" and the obvious answers here are "well it lets them live past D1, fire off whatever role they have N1 and then maybe also live D2 if they claim shenanigans"

I don’t interpret the game of mafia as to be one where everybody has to play well or be accurate. Player roles are fun. As long as they have fun I don’t mind if they miss.
