Based on the fact that he lost speed, visited library and 2 labs were activated - not very likely.
Pine is scum because he has 4 knowledge, knowledge makes it easier to activate labs, 2 labs were activated and only scum can activate labs. Also, people don't townread him and since our friends ended day 1 quickly, we are still in late RVS. At least where it comes to non-mechanical stuff.
Scum don't have night kill. Actually, town have more night actions than scum, so night phase is somewhat as good for town as scum. Which means that there are 3-4 scum. My theory is 3 scum + traitor/ 3p or 4 scum.

What makes him better than gamma in this situation then?

How do you feel about cmod?
Phone posting. Low effort, big fun.

Gamma recieved knowledge today. Scum decreased knowledge of Nosferatu (he claimed), so if Nos is town, Gamma had to visit library. If Nos is town, he will die soon, so it is self resolving. Cmod went exploring and recieved item -> didn't activate lab. Also, he claimed ability to be able to raise 1 stat. I scum could make a better use of that ability that to claim.
@cmod
what did you do n0?
Gamma, nor cmod aren't conf town, but they are mechanically townleans and should be lynched with lowered priority.

The fact two labs ended up being activated is why I had the thought now. Before then it would have merely been conjecture, as stats likely have several uses. With that evidence of the labs, it becomes a situation of “what enabled them to activate 2 in one night?”, which is where my thoughts come in.
I was also attacked by scum last night, so I’m more inclined to present any information I think is helpful now versus later.
How do you know scum attacked you and not a townie?

Explicitly they did not. I attempted and failed to destroy the lab N0, and claimed as such in the thread.
@JF: Pine is neither very towny nor scummy by play. He's been absent, as is normal for Pine. Gamma's argument that scum needed an increased knowledge to consistently activate Labs and thus Pine is scum is interesting, but that's really not a slam dunk scumcase, and the wagon speed and the characterization of Pine as a consensus scumread are both interesting. Does anyone actually scumread Pine based on something that isn't Gamma's case?
I have absolutely no intention to vote him, but his claimed role is supposedly worded pretty strangely. We also theoretically had a 60% chance of destroying the N0 lab if both he and I attacked it and did not. Additionally, if town has a method of throwing someone at a lab every night with no real drawbacks, the lab wincon becomes increasingly difficult for scum.
GE should be largely self resolving though. If he's town scum can't afford to leave him around to potentially blow up a lab and get pseudoconftown status, so they're going to have to prioritize taking him out.
Was anyone other than me against coordinating our night actions onto specific rooms? I seem to remember someone pushing for a preemptive massclaim of action targets and I want to go back to that, but don't have time to hunt it down atm.

I want to examine this question more closely. Where did scum use their knowledge modifier N2? How do you know if Gamma really visited the library, rather than giving himself the +1 knowledge right before activating a lab?
Guard your honor. Let your reputation fall where it will. And outlive the bastards.

Why didn't Gamma attempt to destroy the lab?

If Pine flips town, Gamma should be scum, as it fits into how scum would strategically use their knowledge modifier N0 and N1. But Pine hasn't done anything day 2 that makes me think that he's town or that he will even be useful to gamesolving later on.
