yea. I specifically asked to be removed from it when it was offered. I wanted in the game, not the spectator thread.

If the mod is struggling to find someone I think the players are well within their right to find/suggest people that they think would want to play
would you rather that or a slot remain unfilled for longer than it has to, potentially needing a modkill?

As a mod I would never allow players to factor into my decision making so it seemed like a weird request.

would you allow players to privately bring on other players (they PM the player they want to join, and that player messages you with a replacement request)? That's the thing I see done commonly compared to what you're talking about.
