Somehow, artificial graphics of some kind on the other side of the fence animated a bright, vivid metropolis. The alleyway was dimly lit and had no one but the actors, but the intermittent activation and deactivation of 23rd story here, 42nd story there in the lights on the buildings suggested life and a thriving populace. Tanner had his eye on the city, and was entranced by the illusion. He knew it was fake, just more of Nahdia's illusions and production devices. But it seemed so real.
PookyTheMagicalBear was trudging away from Morning Tweet, afraid of her accosting him again, and he walked in front of Tanner's view in the process. Tanner was instantly infuriated, and shoved PookyTheMagicalBear out of the way, making him stumble and fall. When Tanner could see the buildings again, one of them had gone completely dark, every window all the way up to the top floor. And he had no idea why.

With six alive it takes four to make a decision. The day will end in (expired on 2020-10-29 17:27:24)

I was jealous that Hectic locktown'd you and suspected me.

I couldn't understand how he could do that.

I thought I was so townie.

I thought during day 2 if I just tried harder and harder he would see, see that I had to be town. But he didn't see me and I got more and more confused.

I am so needy, you don't understand how much I wanted his approval.

I saw he wasn't around as much and doubts grew in my mind.

Pernicious thoughts and fears.

Paranoia, I began to get more and more worried about Hectic,

I began to think things that were more and more wrong. I doubted him for dumb reasons,

I feared deeply.... so deeply.

I was so tired and spent at the end of D2 - I didn't know what was going on - I wasn't happy and my fears multiplied.

When d3 dawned I was so full of fear that I couldn't see the goodness in Hectic anymore.

It was like a shadow had fallen over half of my soul and I couldn't find my way out.

I didn't know what I was doing, nothing felt right and I was prepared to die, I expected to die. I don't know why I'm still alive.

At the end of D3 I was so scared.

Scared of being wrong, scared of being right - I knew somewhere deep in my heart that this wouldn't end the game but my mind didn't know yet,

it kept pushing ahead, because the path was hard and difficult. One of us would need to die to avoid disaster.

The things I would do to change what happened, to make it him instead of me who lived, because I was weak and scared, because I didn't listen to my own heart.

That's a lie I've told myself all the way until today - it's not the truth - the easy way out was to kill myself - this is much harder - I wanted to spare him that, I couldn't burden him with BoP and all the things I had done to him - things he never deserved - things borne of my own paranoia and fear.

I needed to take that burden onto myself because it was me who had started the shitty fight that had led to that precipice, it would not have been fair for me to lay that on him, all the suffering I've had since then - my penance for what I did to my own soul.

I should have known Hectic was town as soon as he pushed hard on me. It made no sense for Scum-Hectic to fight back like that - he could've pocketed me so easily. A kind word there, a gentle sigh, I would've happily hopped into his pocket - I probably would've died for him.

Why didn't I know this? I think in my heart I did - but I needed it so much - needed him to say to me that he knew I was good. but he didn't - he pushed back and it killed me. it killed me to push against him - to try to kill him.

Things that I knew in my heart didn't make it up to my brain - the shadow was to thick.

Do you know what it feels like when you kill half of your own soul? It's like color fading from the sky - it's like stars fading out. It's like the taste of wine turning bitter on your tongue - a bitterness of loss - something that doesn't exist anymore.

I know this game means more to us Tweetie,

The replacements don't know what happened here - they haven't lived through it. Lavender is a spectator, in some ways Tanner is as well.

We are here because we care. Probably more about this game than any others we are in, probably more than is healthy to.

You and I both know what this means - it's not even about winning or losing anymore. What do wins or losses mean when it comes to heartbreak? To friends leaving?

Where we end up doesn't matter - it's how we get there - I trust you've been on the same emotional rollercoaster as me regardless of your alignment - I am glad you are here with me now near the end.

Because you're the last piece of Hectic that I hold onto in my heart - He made me promise to keep you safe and I told him on the day I killed him that I would never let anything happen to you..

I don't know why you're un-confirmed - it feels like a cruel joke played on me by the universe - but now here I am trying to kill you because how can you be anything but the last of the scum?

I told myself before D5 that whoever was the towniest un-conf was probably the bad guy because that's how this game works - it's always the person you never expect, and there you were - so beautiful and innocent and it killed me.

It killed me because I knew I had to somehow find a way to push you. The person I promised Hectic I would keep safe. I never expected you to be here - but here you are.

It hurts me more than you know to push you. That's why I wanted to go Krazy first, he was t he last person on Hectic's list other than myself and lavender - but then the incident happened and my world collapsed and I haven't been the same since.

The thing with hopes and dreams - is that t hey rarely work out the way you would expect them to - I am out of tears, I've shed them all on D3 and I've been plowing ahead based on nothing but a desire to get to the dead thread and apologize to Hectic for being wrong.

I've wanted to die for a while now but I can't face him if I don't do my best to win the game - how could I given what I had done to him?

I told myself before this game that I would post less, that I would care less, that my commitment levels would be lower because it doesn't make sense for me to care that much as town,

It is harmful to town EV for me to post as much as I have in the past when I care deeply about a game, I have failed completely and utterly in this respect.

This thread doesn't need 900 Pooky AtE posts about nothing, I 'm pretty sure like almost everybody here is better at finding bad guys than me.

I suck at self-control, I really do, it's something I really should work on. Maybe I'll jself-impose a post restriction on my self in the future or something, I don't know.

Are you tired of reading my nonsensical ramblings? I'm mostly spent - I just want this suffering to end. That's why I'm ok with self-hammering tommorrow if it's 3-3, because I'm not sure I can make it another day here.

I am spent mentally and emotionally. someone else should be doing most of the talking. I'm so thankful duckie and noraa are here - I hope they can do a better job than I have when I am gone.

I want to thank you Tweetie, you should've been angry with me for killing Hectic, for pushing you when I promised him I wouldn't, for raising a stupid fight about some eye doctor story. You've been more generous to me than I could've expected.

If you are indeed town and this is just another one of Pooky's absurdly stupid mistakes, I hope you find it in yourself to finish the last steps of the journey for me, hectic and all the others who are not here anymore.

What happened with Hectic is no surprise to me. I am an open book to him, after all. I suppose I do not know why you felt the need to be approved by Hectic, nor why you responded to his suspicions by becoming afraid of him being scum.

I don't believe that I was in your sights at the beginning of today. The first name you came up with in your confusion was Prism/Alisae's, after all. Followed by the vote on Krazy. Followed by me. It doesn't matter now, though.
