We could, but that carries the risk of us getting 7 points--too many points and everyone but us loses, town included. We don't want that, so it's safer if we leave once we have the 4 we need.

mastina, titus, and nero cain are all aligned and non-town. they have opted to reveal this fact. doing so did not provide them any benefits other than enabling contracting. contracting: anyone in this neighborhood is able to propose a contract. contracts occur in the form of "if [event] occurs, then titus, mastina and nero cain (as well as any other member of their faction) must do [action] to the best of their ability or else the faction will exit the game in a loss." for instance, alice can propose "if i truthfully claim my role, then each member of the faction must vote bob for the rest of the day." i will confirm certain things individually to them in reaction to this, though spurious contracts which merely serve to confirm information (such as "i truthfully state that i am town") will not be accepted, unless they are verifying information from mastina, titus and nero cain's faction i will be using my judgement a little bit to allow for gray areas and prevent game-breaking stuff.

(I want to have an insurance policy for us getting the needed points if scum refuse to kill us. We have 1/4 already. A contract can get 2/4. A sacrifice can get 3/4. Successfully wagoning all of the scum in the game gets 5/4, more than needed, but still at no risk of going too high.

I proposed to Nero and Titus that we deliberately recruit someone in the POE list and force them to sacrifice themselves, as in, "either sacrifice yourself or be voted out", with the former being a free extra town reveal that a town player should be happy to agree to.)

Basically, my plan is to weaponize this power.

We may risk exposing this neighborhood to the scum and the info within to the scum if recruiting scum, BUT, the recruited scum would be outed as scum if they refused to sacrifice themselves for the cause, giving us a free third scum death.
And if the recruited person is town, then they can sacrifice themselves for the cause, for a free double-elimination. Two executions for the price of one.

If we get scum, free third scum death;
If we get town, then the town POE is narrowed by the death of a mislynch while also giving us one of the points we need.

If we get a point from the sacrifice, and a point from the contract, that gives us 3/4 of the needed points, while also helping the town.

We have 1 point. Getting the 2 pts from a contract and then the SB elimination and then having at least one of us and end game seems like it would be the easiest way for town and us to win.
