Again, if someone's style is 'unusual' and if you are genuine about solving someone 'unusual' it's townie for you to be the actually trying to interact with t hat slot and/or figure it out

just saying undirected question gets nothing done. i've seen way more scums just ask (not necessarily the same type of) questions in the open air that a lot of people either don't have answer to or answer is straightforward to make it seem it's more obvious that you are asking questions, but in reality those questions doesn't really help any of your solving (e.g. why is X a wagon?)

I really believe if you are town and you genuine thought nic's posting to be weird, you should be asking nic the questions yourself especially by pointing out what was weird/what you are confused about

Bolded strikes me as a very strange point to get defensive over. If a question has no relevance to reads, why ask it?
A town response to the criticism should be to elaborate.

Gypyx’s posting looks to me like easy coasting. He’s not pressing his read on Thomas, nor is he developing any new reads through any kind of purposive questioning. Instead, I see only two lightweight questions, about my posting and mastina’s reads, neither question is likely to go anywhere. That could add up to an attempt to appear active without attracting to much attention or committing to anything.

I don't think it's a question of read strength so much as playstyle, strategy, and how spicy you're feeling. The game is smaller than I'm used to. I think in a 13p I probably would, but we have 1 Mistaken Dastardly Deed instead of 3 here so taking more time to look at past games and get real contributions from everyone Day 1 seems more important, and if DT is groupscum and we Mob Justice them correctly, doing it too early leaves less room to look for associations with the partner.

So no, I wouldn't, but an excitable spicy corner of my heart really wants to, especially in light of the 1v1 declaration.

Both because it seems like an over-reaction to pressure, and because I think it'd generate some interesting interactions from the other players.
